Job Summary:

The Zonal Head Government Banking will be responsible for driving the government business strategy across the assigned zone, ensuring growth in deposits, CASA, and transaction banking revenue from government and institutional clients. The role requires strong relationship management with state and local government bodies, PSUs, and related departments, while ensuring compliance and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage the Government Banking vertical for the zone, aligning with the banks strategic objectives.

- Develop and nurture relationships with government departments, state treasuries, and public sector organizations.

- Drive business growth through acquisition of new government accounts and deepening of existing relationships.

- Oversee product penetration for government clients including digital, payments, and collection solutions.

- Ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines, internal compliance, and risk management frameworks.

- Lead, motivate, and guide the regional Government Banking team to achieve zonal targets.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Graduate/Postgraduate, preferably with specialization in Finance, Management, or Economics.

- 1218 years of banking experience with at least 5 years in Government or Institutional Banking.

- Strong understanding of government business dynamics, treasury operations, and digital banking solutions.

- Excellent leadership, networking, and communication skills.
