Role Overview:
The Zonal Manager will be responsible for end-to-end management of the assigned zone, driving business growth while ensuring operational excellence, compliance, risk management, and people development. The role oversees Regional Managers Business Development (RM-BD) and Regional Managers Administration (RM-Admin), ensuring alignment with organizational goals and seamless coordination between business and administrative functions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Business Growth & Revenue Generation:
- Drive gold loan disbursements, third-party product sales, and overall revenue growth.
- Monitor branch-wise targets for gold loans, NCDs, sub-debts, and insurance products.
- Implement sales campaigns, marketing initiatives, and customer engagement programs.
- Ensure optimal resource mobilization and conduct annual visits to all branches.
2. Branch Expansion & Business Development:
- Identify and evaluate potential locations for new branches based on market analysis.
- Coordinate with Real Estate and Compliance teams for branch setup.
- Ensure feasibility, staffing, profitability, and performance monitoring of new branches.
3. Team Leadership & Performance Management:
- Directly manage RM-BD and RM-Admin, ensuring achievement of KPIs.
- Build a performance-driven culture through mentoring, guidance, and regular reviews.
- Conduct periodic evaluations of regional and branch teams.
4. Compliance, Risk Management & Irregularities:
- Ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines, audits, and company policies.
- Address operational irregularities, fraud cases, NPAs, overdue accounts, and risks.
- Conduct surprise audits, oversee documentation, and ensure security protocols.
- Follow up on legal and police cases for timely resolution.
5. Operations & Administration:
- Ensure SOP adherence across branches for operations and customer service.
- Oversee gold verification, fund management, auctions, and security processes.
- Ensure timely renewal of statutory licenses and bank account openings.
- Supervise infrastructure, lease management, and audit responses.
6. Employee Development & Training:
- Ensure regular training on gold appraisal, CRM, and compliance.
- Identify training needs and drive participation in development programs.
7. Recruitment & Manpower Planning:
- Ensure adequate staffing and address manpower gaps.
- Coordinate with HR on recruitment, transfers, deputations, and retention.
8. Monitoring & Reporting:
- Review branch visit reports from RM-BD and RM-Admin, including packet counting.
- Track business performance, operational efficiency, and employee metrics.
This is a high-impact leadership role for professionals with strong exposure to gold loans, branch operations, compliance, and multi-location team management.
