About the role:
- The Zonal Head/SRM will be responsible for managing and growing the corporate banking portfolio for Mid corporate clients within the designated zone.
- This role involves driving business growth, client relationship management, team leadership, and achieving financial targets.
- The Zonal Head/SRM will play a key role in business development, strategic planning, and ensuring effective collaboration with internal teams to deliver banking solutions tailored to client needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development & Revenue Generation:
- Formulate and execute strategies to grow the corporate banking business within the zone.
- Identify and engage mid corporate clients for banking services, targeting both existing and new clients.
- Drive the revenue and profitability targets by expanding the client base and increasing wallet share.
- Develop strong relationships with key decision-makers in mid-sized corporates to ensure continued growth and engagement of corporate banking business.
Client Relationship Management:
- Ensure client satisfaction by providing tailored banking solutions that meet client needs.
- Act as a point of escalation for client issues and ensure timely resolution.
- Conduct regular meetings with key corporate clients to assess their needs and provide proactive financial solutions.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of relationship managers and support staff within the zone.
- Provide guidance to enhance team performance and professional development.
- Conduct performance reviews, monitor individual targets, and drive a high-performance culture within the team.
Strategic Planning & Execution:
- Contribute to the formulation of the corporate banking strategy for mid-sized corporates.
- Translate corporate banking strategies into actionable plans within the zone.
- Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory updates to adjust strategies accordingly.
Collaboration & Coordination:
- Work closely with internal teams, including credit, operations, legal, and compliance, to ensure efficient delivery of banking products and services to clients.
- Facilitate seamless coordination between various business units to enhance overall client service delivery.
- Provide regular updates on business performance, market trends, and emerging opportunities to senior management.
Key Qualifications & Skills:
Experience: Minimum 10+(for SRM) and 15+ (for Zonal) years of experience in corporate banking.
Education: CA, MBA from 1 Tier college.
Leadership: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, with experience in performance management and talent development.
Client Management: Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior executives of Mid corporations.
Business Acumen: Excellent understanding of corporate banking products, market dynamics, and financial acumen.
Communication: Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and implement strategies in alignment with. business goals.
Collaboration: Strong ability to work across functions and collaborate with different teams to achieve business objectives.
