Role:
To manage accounting operations related to Asset Reconstruction Company (ARC) transactions, ensuring accurate trust accounting, timely fund distribution, statutory compliance, and adherence to accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Trust Accounting:
- Maintain books of accounts for Trusts/SPVs created for asset acquisition.
- Record all trust-related financial transactions accurately.
- Reconcile trust accounts, bank accounts, and investor balances periodically.
- Prepare trust financial statements and reports.
2. Distribution of Funds:
- Calculate and process distributions to Security Receipt (SR) holders/investors as per the trust waterfall mechanism.
- Ensure timely transfer of funds to eligible stakeholders.
- Maintain detailed records of distributions and investor statements.
- Coordinate with banks, trustees, and internal stakeholders for fund settlements.
3. Accounting & Financial Reporting:
- Pass journal entries and maintain the general ledger.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Perform bank, debtor, creditor, and trust reconciliations.
- Support statutory, internal, and regulatory audits.
4. Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS), Companies Act, Income Tax, GST, and RBI regulations applicable to ARCs.
- Assist in statutory filings and regulatory reporting.
- Maintain proper accounting documentation and audit trails.
5. Coordination:
- Work closely with Operations, Treasury, Legal, Trustees, and external auditors.
- Support finance initiatives related to acquisitions, co-ordination with banks and trust closures.
