Role Overview The Zonal EHS Manager is responsible for implementing and overseeing environmental, health, and safety programs across multiple facilities or operational zones. This role ensures compliance with Indian statutory requirements, drives safety culture, and supports operational excellence through proactive risk management. Key Responsibilities Regulatory Compliance - Ensure alignment with Indian laws such as the Environment Protection Act, and state-specific regulations. - Liaise with local authorities (e.g., Pollution Control Boards, Labour Departments) if required Policy & Program Deployment - Roll out PAN india EHS policies tailored to operations. - Conduct internal audits and support external inspections. Risk & Incident Management - Lead hazard identification and risk mitigation strategies. - Investigate incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions. Training & Engagement - Develop and deliver EHS training programs in local languages. - Foster a safety-first mindset across all levels of the organization. Data & Reporting - Monitor EHS KPIs and prepare reports for regional leadership and compliance bodies. - Use data analytics to identify trends and drive improvements. Leadership & Collaboration - Mentor site-level EHS officers. - Collaborate with HR, operations, and engineering teams to embed EHS into daily workflows. Cerification and Standardisation - Implement ISO 45001-aligned standards and drive certification readiness. Qualifications - Bachelors degree in Environmental Science, Industrial Safety, Engineering with Advanced Diploma in Safety , - 8-12 years of EHS experience in India, preferably in manufacturing, logistics, or Ecommerce - Certifications like NEBOSH, ADIS, or ISO 45001 auditor are highly desirable.
