Position : Vice President  Location : Bangalore  Qualification : MBA from a leading Indian or International institution.   - Ideally an MBA with an overall experience of 7-10 years   - The incumbent should have at least two years of experience in asset management, equity research or consulting.   - The incumbent should have an experience in both global and Indian business environment.   - The incumbent should have deep operational experience in functional areas such as general management, sales and marketing, product management, finance and strategy.   CHALLENGES :   - An on-going challenge for the incumbent is to help grow and manage a high performing portfolio of investments in line with the overall investment strategy outlined by Zephyr Peacock in India. The person is expected to have a keen eye to spot the right investment opportunities and manage portfolio companies.  - The individual is expected to be involved in developing investment themes, building relationships with promoters, management and intermediaries, leading the diligence process relating to a potential investment and helping to manage the portfolio. The individual will have to demonstrate strong analytical and technical abilities and be creative in his/her approach. S/he has to be deeply involved in dealing with the Promoters and ensuring a profitable portfolio. The incumbent has to be deeply involved at the operational level in portfolio companies which includes management hiring, operational efficiencies, cost control etc.    - This position involves significant travel to portfolio companies/prospective companies. The incumbent is expected to spend a considerable portion of his/her time in helping manage portfolio companies and help scale up portfolio businesses in a profitable manner.   ACCOUNTABILITIES :   Investment :   - Analysis of investment proposals that are under consideration by the firm.  - Develop sector expertise through primary and secondary research on industries/ sectors of focus for Zephyr Peacock.   - Originate, evaluate, structure and execute PE transactions.  - Identify investment options and present them to the Investment Committee.  - Work closely across various teams- legal, finance and business to achieve group objectives on issues of evaluation, valuation and structuring  - Evaluate the due diligence requirements and take assistance of the legal, finance/ audit, technology teams to decide on an investment.  - Be well versed in and determine investment structures  - Advise and devise various financial covenants, appraisal process etc.   Deal Execution :   - Deal structuring, applying the technical knowledge of various credit and equity market instruments to create sound deal structures.  - Understanding of legal issues to protect the downsides. Create structures that will help exits at a good IRR in the event of below expectation performance.  - Conducting thorough due-diligence of the market, company, and management and most importantly, of the entrepreneur.  Monitoring and Portfolio Management :   - Develop and execute long term growth plans for portfolio companies. This process includes development of operating and capital budgets, recruiting of senior professionals, replacement of underperforming management teams and development of long term strategy.  - Achieve successful business outcomes by influencing management teams of portfolio companies.  - Develop and implement exit strategy for the assigned portfolio companies. This includes positioning the Company for a sale to the desired strategic partner and requires ongoing contact with industry players and financial intermediaries.  - Present financial and operating review to Zephyr Peacock's investment committee on a monthly basis.  Investor Relations :   - Prepare content for investor reports.
