About this role

As the Talent Acquisition & HR at Zenskar, you will be a strategic leader responsible for shaping how we find, attract, assess, hire, and support talent across functions, levels, and regions.

You will lead and scale the TA & HR function, building structure, accountability, and strong hiring partnerships as we grow across India and the US. This role combines hands-on executive hiring with the founders, function-level leadership, process excellence, and people operations ownership.

You will:

- Own hiring across India end-to-end

- Build and scale US hiring capability

- Lead and develop a TA & HR team of 3 FTE

- Partner closely with founders to transition from founder-led to structured, manager-led hiring

This is a high-impact role. Youre not just closing roles youre building the talent engine that powers the companys next stage of growth.

What Youll Own

Strategic Talent & HR Leadership

- Define and evolve the TA & HR strategy aligned to business goals.

- Partner with leadership on workforce planning, hiring forecasts, and org design.

- Bring market insights, compensation benchmarking, and talent intelligence into hiring decisions.

- Gradually expand into broader HR ownership including policies, performance enablement, onboarding experience, and people processes (even if your prior experience is TA-heavy).

Hiring Ownership India & US

- Lead and execute full-cycle recruitment across India for tech and business roles.

- Build structured US hiring capability including talent mapping, sourcing strategy, compensation insights, and offer management.

- Personally drive leadership and critical hires (VP, senior management, niche roles).

- Establish structured, competency-based assessment frameworks across levels.

This role offers strong exposure to international hiring markets and global talent strategy.

Team Leadership & Capability Building

- Lead and manage a team of 3 FTE within TA & HR.

- Define clear role ownership, KPIs, and hiring SLAs.

- Improve recruiter productivity, quality, and stakeholder management.

- Create structured weekly hiring reviews and accountability systems.

- Coach and develop the team to scale with the organization.

Process Excellence & Hiring Analytics

- Own and optimize the ATS workflows, automations, dashboards, and reporting.

- Track and improve hiring funnel metrics (time-to-hire, conversion rates, source effectiveness, quality of hire).

- Introduce structured interview scorecards and interviewer training.

- Reduce bias and improve decision quality through calibration and governance.

Employer Brand & Candidate Experience

- Build proactive pipelines for current and future hiring needs.

- Elevate Zenskars employer brand across India and US markets.

- Ensure consistent, high-quality candidate communication and closure.

Broader HR & Organizational Impact

- Strengthen onboarding experience and hiring-manager enablement.

- Partner on performance processes, people policies, and engagement initiatives.

- Support compliance and operational HR foundations as the company scales.

Were open to candidates who have primarily led TA but are excited to step into broader HR leadership.

Key Qualifications

- 8 to 12+ years of experience in Talent Acquisition or TA leadership roles, ideally in SaaS / technology / startup environments (Series AE preferred).

- Experience leading hiring across India and exposure to US or global hiring markets.

- Demonstrated experience building structure in scaling environments.

- Proven success hiring for executive, leadership, and niche technical roles.

- Experience managing and developing TA team members.

- Strong understanding of ATS systems, hiring workflows, and analytics.

- Data-driven mindset with strong business judgment.

- Ability to influence founders and senior leaders confidently.

- Entrepreneurial, ownership-driven, and comfortable operating in ambiguity.

- Interest and openness to expanding into broader HR leadership.

- Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable operating with minimal supervision
