
Manager - International Business Development
Description:
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop business opportunities for Zen products in international markets, particularly in the defense sector.
- Actively promote Zens counter-drone and other defense solutions to foreign customers, government agencies, and defense organizations.
- Engage with key decision-makers in target markets, ensuring timely follow-ups and in-person meetings as required.
- Gather competitive intelligence, including pricing trends and strategies of competitor companies.
- Schedule and facilitate virtual/live demonstrations of Zen products for potential clients.
- Represent the company at global defense forums, trade shows, seminars, and exhibitions organized by SIDM, DDP, FICCI, CII, ASOCHAM, and other relevant entities.
- Collaborate with Indian Defense Attachs (DAs) to explore and leverage business opportunities.
- Coordinate visits of foreign delegations to Zen facilities and arrange high-level meetings with stakeholders.
- Maintain regular communication with Zens international representatives, ensuring strategic alignment and market updates.
- Propose and coordinate Zens participation in key international defense exhibitions, webinars, and networking events.
- Provide detailed reports on export-related activities, highlighting progress, challenges, and key action points for management.
- Manage and drive end-to-end export operations, ensuring compliance with international regulations and industry best practices.
- Undertake any additional export and business development tasks as directed by the management.
Skills & Competencies Required:
- Proven experience in global business strategy development and execution.
- Strong knowledge of defense export markets, particularly in counter-drone solutions and high-tech defense systems.
- Ability to represent Zen at international forums and negotiate strategic partnerships.
- Expertise in contract negotiation and high-value deal structuring.
- In-depth understanding of government and defense procurement processes across various international markets.
- Excellent relationship management skills with defense stakeholders, embassies, and government bodies.
Education & Qualifications:
- MBA/PGDM (Marketing/International Business) or equivalent.
- Additional certifications in international trade, business strategy, or defense procurement will be an added advantage.
- Preference will be given to retired senior defense officers with relevant business development experience in Private industry after Retirement
Experience Required:
- 5+ years of experience in International Business Development, preferably in the defense sector.
- Prior experience in global defense sales, exports, and strategic partnerships is highly desirable.
