MAKING DECARBONIZATION A REALITY.

Mission:

Zelestra India is looking for a dynamic Investment Analyst to lead the investment analysis process for all ongoing and upcoming projects within the India Business Unit.

The role will support the Business Development, Commercial, Project Financing, and M&A teams in financial modelling, structuring, and optimisation of renewable energy investments.

You will play a key role in driving data-driven decision-making, evaluating new opportunities, and maximising the value of Zelestras renewable energy portfolio.

Responsibilities:

- Own and manage financial models for existing and new investments, ensuring accuracy and adaptability to assess project viability under various business scenarios.

- Review, validate, and enhance the structure and integrity of financial models, ensuring accurate incorporation of financing, accounting, and tax considerations.

- Develop, update, and maintain project and investment models, including detailed asset valuations and portfolio analysis.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Business Development, Commercial, Project Finance, and M&A) to optimise model inputs and ensure targeted return thresholds (IRR) are achieved.

- Coordinate and prepare Investment Committee (IC) presentations, conducting scenario and sensitivity analyses to support investment recommendations.

- Support the CFO in validating IC cases, assessing portfolio valuation evolution, and evaluating potential equity-raising opportunities.

- Participate in Investment Committee and Board presentations, addressing queries related to financial models and investment assumptions.

- Assist the Project Finance team in deal structuring with lenders, including financial modelling, preparation of teasers and information memoranda, due diligence, and contract negotiations.

- Mentor and guide junior analysts, fostering their technical and analytical capabilities to operate independently over time.

- Support Zelestras central teams with financial analysis and reporting as required.

Job Requirements:

- Bachelors degree in business administration, MSc.

- Engineering or a qualified chartered accountant.

- Understanding of financing in the "Project Finance" concepts.

- High level of both spoken and written English.

- Knowledge of programming languages (Visual Basic) and SQL database management will be valued.

- Use of Reuters tools and valuation of interest rate derivatives.

- 3-5 years in corporate finance or investment banking in financial institution, consulting, or investment analysis function in an industrial company.

- Experience in creating and updating complex financial models such as infrastructure / renewable energy (solar, wind, BESS).

- Financial model expertise, modelling best practices will be highly valued.

- Ability to work in tight timelines and interest in learning and developing professionally.

- Proactive person with the ability to learn and communicate transparently with the whole organization.
