Senior Business Analyst

Role Overview:

This is a management-level Business Analyst role, requiring both domain expertise and leadership skills.

The incumbent will be responsible for leading requirement workshops, managing client expectations, guiding technical teams, and ensuring alignment of deliverables to business objectives.

Strong technical and analytical capabilities, combined with people and project management skills, are critical to success in this position.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning and Leadership:

- Serve as the primary point of contact for all client requirements, ensuring stakeholder alignment across business and technical teams.

- Lead requirement-gathering sessions, steering committees, and workshops to drive clarity and consensus.

- Translate high-level business goals into detailed, actionable technical requirements, roadmaps, and functional specifications.

Team and Delivery Management:

- Mentor junior analysts and guide cross-functional teams on best practices in documentation, requirement analysis, and solution design.

- Own the delivery lifecycle from requirement analysis to deployment and post-implementation review.

Process and Data Governance:

- Design and maintain process flows, data flow diagrams, and documentation standards to ensure consistency and accuracy.

- Perform detailed data analysis using SQL, identify trends, and provide insights to support decision-making and optimization.

- Conduct business impact assessments and manage change effectively across teams and stakeholders.

Quality and Risk Management:

- Ensure all solutions meet documented requirements, quality benchmarks, and compliance standards.

- Proactively identify risks, dependencies, and gaps, and drive mitigation strategies.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- Experience: 5 to 8 years as a Business Analyst, with proven leadership in retail or eCommerce projects.

- Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (mandatory).

Technical and Analytical Skills:

- Strong expertise in SQL and data analysis.

- Ability to develop and maintain process maps, data models, and system configurations.

Leadership and Communication:

- Proven client management and stakeholder engagement skills.

- Ability to lead discussions, manage conflicts, and drive consensus among diverse teams.

Tools Knowledge: Experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, or Lucidchart
