Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced SAP FICO Business Analyst to support Finance and Controlling initiatives across business transformation and analytics projects.

The ideal candidate will combine strong SAP FI/CO functional expertise with business analysis capabilities, financial process knowledge, and stakeholder management skills.

The role involves collaborating with Finance stakeholders, IT teams, and implementation partners to analyse business requirements, improve financial processes, support SAP solutions, and enable data-driven decision-making through financial reporting and analytics.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Analysis & Requirements Management:

- Gather, analyse, validate, and document business requirements, including Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) and functional specifications.

- Facilitate workshops, requirement-gathering sessions, and finance process reviews with business users.

- Translate business needs into functional requirements and coordinate solution delivery with technical teams and implementation partners.

- Conduct business process analysis and identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency.

- Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment between business objectives and SAP solution capabilities.

SAP Finance & Controlling:

- Support and analyse SAP FI/CO processes, including:

1. General Ledger (GL)

2. Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

3. Asset Accounting

4. Bank Accounting

5. Cost Centre Accounting

6. Internal Orders

7. Profit Centre Accounting

8. Product Costing

- Analyse financial workflows and support business users in resolving functional and system-related issues.

- Ensure effective integration of SAP FI/CO with Sales and Distribution (SD), Materials Management (MM), and other relevant SAP modules.

- Collaborate with technical teams on enhancements, interfaces, and defect resolution.

Testing & Application Support:

- Coordinate and execute System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

- Develop and validate test scenarios, document defects, and coordinate issue resolution.

- Provide business-as-usual (BAU) application support and troubleshoot SAP FI/CO functional issues.

- Conduct root-cause analysis and support corrective and preventive actions.

- Validate system changes to ensure they meet business requirements and financial process expectations.

Financial Analytics & Reporting:

- Perform financial data analysis, reconciliation, and data validation to ensure accuracy and consistency.

- Support financial reporting, dashboards, and business insights using Power BI, Incorta, or similar analytics tools.

- Collaborate with analytics and development teams to improve financial reporting capabilities.

- Identify data discrepancies and investigate their underlying causes.

- Support reporting requirements across financial accounting, controlling, and management reporting processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Strong functional knowledge of SAP Finance and Controlling (SAP FI/CO).

- Understanding of Record-to-Report (R2R), Procure-to-Pay (P2P), and core financial accounting processes.

- Experience in business requirements gathering, business process analysis, and functional documentation.

- Hands-on experience with SIT, UAT, defect tracking, and application support.

- Experience working with Finance stakeholders, IT teams, and implementation partners.

- Understanding of SAP FI/CO integration with SD, MM, and other SAP modules.

- Familiarity with financial reporting and analytics tools such as Power BI, Incorta, or equivalent platforms.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities.

- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

- Ability to facilitate workshops and engage effectively with Finance business users.
