Job Description:
Business Head – Hair Care (Sokora) and Skin Care Brand (Ozuzu)
Location: Noida
Reports to: Founders
Role Type: Leadership | 0 -- 1 and 1 --10 scale role
Role Mandate:
We are launching two D2C brands Sokora (Korea-inspired customized hair care solutions) and Ozuzu (Japan-inspired customized skin care solutions).
The shortlisted candidate will be responsible to build and scale both these brands through D2C channels and establish Sokora and Ozuzu as India’s most trusted hair health and skin care brands respectively.
This is a mini-CEO mandate with full business ownership across platforms and categories where the candidate will be fully responsible for growing the brands, driving revenue, owning end-to-end P&L, profitability, and expansion strategy.
Core Responsibilities:
1. Strategy & Category Ownership:
- Define D2C roadmap for Sokora (Hair) and Ozuzu (Skin)
- Own product portfolio, pricing, positioning, and GTM strategy
2. Product & Innovation:
- Lead formulation, packaging, and vendor ecosystem
- Develop flagship SKUs with clear differentiation, high repeat, and category-defining outcomes
- Ensure ethical, honest outcome frameworks
- Maintain regulatory compliance
3. Growth & Performance Marketing:
- Own revenue growth through YM website/app and marketplaces
- Drive CAC, retention, subscription, and cohort performance
4. Supply Chain & Operations:
- Manage inventory planning, forecasting, and fulfillment
- Ensure quality, compliance, and cost control
5. Brand & Content Leadership:
- Build Sokora and Ozuzu as a trusted hair and skin health authority
- Own content, influencer strategy, community, and brand storytelling
6. YesMadam × Sokora & Ozuzu Integration:
- Create funnels from home services to product adoption
- Build bundled programs (services + products) to improve LTV
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- 10-15+ years in D2C / Consumer Tech / Marketplace; Derma/ Beauty / Personal Care / Wellness experience preferred
- Strong P&L owner with proven growth track record
- Deep understanding of unit economics
- Founder mindset, high ownership
Success Metrics:
- Creation of flagship products with category leadership potential
- Revenue + contribution margin targets achieved
- Strong repeat rate and subscription adoption
- Reduce CAC with improving LTV
