Social Media Head Beauty & Skincare (D2C)

About the Job:
We are looking for a strategic, creative, and data-driven Social Media & Influencer to lead the complete social media vision for our beauty & skincare D2C brand. You will be responsible for building our online presence, scaling engagement, shaping brand storytelling and driving growth across all social platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Holistic Strategy & Content Planning:
- Unified Strategy: Build and execute a cohesive strategy that integrates organic social media and influencer marketing. Ensure both channels work together to support campaigns, product launches, and brand goals.
- Content Calendar Management: Plan and post the master monthly content calendar, ensuring a balanced mix of brand-led content (tutorials, product shots) and influencer-led content (reviews, UGC).
- Brand Stewardship: Maintain a consistent brand voice, visual identity, and storytelling approach across all platforms. Ensure all content (internal or external) aligns with our aesthetic and skincare values.
- Trend Forecasting: Stay updated on the fast-moving beauty/skincare landscape, platform algorithm changes, and emerging content formats to keep the brand ahead of the curve.
2. Influencer Ecosystem & Campaign Management:
- End-to-End Recruitment: Identify, shortlist, and onboard a mix of creators (Macro, Micro, Nano) and UGC specialists who align with our brand values and skincare suitability.
- Negotiation & Relationships: Manage negotiations regarding deliverables, usage rights, timelines, and budgets. Build strong, long-term relationships with creators to turn them into brand advocates.
- Briefing & Execution: Develop clear, inspiring campaign briefs that communicate product USPs and messaging effectively.
- Quality Control & Compliance: Crucial for Skincare: Review all creator content prior to publishing for accuracy, tone, valid skincare claims, and strict adherence to brand safety/disclosure guidelines.
3. Social Media Management & Community:
- Content Production Oversight: Collaborate with creative/video teams to ensure high-quality production of Reels, Stories, and educational skincare content.
- Community Engagement: Monitor brand sentiment and manage community conversations. Respond to customer queries or escalate skincare-specific concerns as needed.
- Team Leadership: (If applicable) Lead and mentor social media executives or community managers to foster a high-performance culture.
4. Data, Analytics & Operations:
- Performance Tracking: Track and report on combined metricsReach, Engagement, Conversions, Sentiment, and ROI. Analyze how influencer content impacts organic social growth and vice versa.
- Optimization: Use data insights to optimize the influencer mix, content formats, and posting times. Proactively identify new growth opportunities.
- Budget & Resource Management: Manage the total budget for social media tools, and influencer fees. Handle invoices, contracts, and payment schedules efficiently.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as the linchpin between Creative, Product, Paid Ads, and Design teams to ensure seamless campaign execution.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 5-8 years of experience in social media ; beauty/skincare D2C experience is mandatory.
- Proven track record of building social strategy and delivering on KPIs.
- Deep knowledge of platform dynamics (Instagram, YouTube, Facebook etc.).
- Strong writing, communication, storytelling, and creative judgment.
- Strong analytical thinking and familiarity with social media tools + analytics platforms.
- Experience handling influencer/creator marketing.
- Comfort working cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
- Experienced on: Meta (Facebook & Instagram), Youtube, X
- Excellent with presentation, reporting and analytics
