The Opportunity:
A pioneering Singapore-headquartered education company is looking for a brilliant and unconventional Financial Controller. It is an opportunity for a young, ambitious professional to work closely with the top leadership, take significant ownership and responsibility, and accelerate their professional growth.
The Role:
- You will have end-to-end responsibility for the accounting and financial control functions of the India business, along with consolidated financial reporting for Singapore.
- Your responsibilities will extend to all domestic and international compliance requirements. You will also work closely with leadership on legal and commercial matters, including agreements, intellectual property protection and contract management, ensuring that the company's interests are adequately protected.
- You don't hide behind compliance restrictions, laws or procedures. Instead, you focus on finding practical solutions. You are driven, ambitious and eager to work directly with the top leadership. Beyond accounting and audit, you have a strong understanding of GST and Direct Taxes. You bring exposure to cross-border transactions, transfer pricing and international operations. You are comfortable working with ERPs and are a quick learner.
Ideal Profile:
A Chartered Accountant (ideally a first-attempt qualifier from around the 2018 batch, give or take a couple of years). Must have spent 2 - 3 years working with an operating multinational and another 2 - 3 years in a startup environment. You must be responsive, organised, hands-on and generally unafraid of taking ownership, hardworking, resourceful and willing to go beyond the conventional boundaries of a finance role.
