Job Description
Job Roles & Responsibilities:
Origination and execution
- Lead the investment banking business within a designated sector, leveraging key relationships to track and convert opportunities into mandates.
- Build and maintain close relationships with key stakeholders, including promoters, board members, and CXOs, serving as their trusted advisor on strategic issues.
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of global and domestic economic and sector-specific trends, to proactively advise clients on strategic opportunities.
- Lead the team in sourcing and executing mandates, leveraging the expertise of colleagues in India and global offices.
- Oversee the entire transaction lifecycle, including deal origination, marketing, structuring, negotiations, diligence and closing across Private Equity and M&A transactions.
- Provide direction and oversight to team, ensuring flawless execution and alignment with client expectations.
- Establish yourself as a trusted advisor and an industry insider, someone the promoters and CXOs seek out for their strategic initiatives.
- Demonstrate ability to initiate and nurture strategic dialogues at the senior management level.
Promote a performance driven culture, setting high standards of conduct.
- Lead a high-quality reputable team, with an objective of building a profitable P&L.
- Act as the role model for the team, exemplifying behaviors that drive results while ensuring the respect of peers and colleagues.
- Develop strong working relationships with diverse client-side stakeholders.
- Earn the stakeholders trust through exceptional work ethics and a commitment to confidentiality.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of business development with an ability to build and maintain a professional network.
- Conduct cold calls to potential investors to generate leads and pitch investment opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with retail and HNI clients.
- Perform regular portfolio reviews to align investments with clients financial goals.
- Actively engage in equity sales, including share selling, stock recommendations, and transaction execution.
- Keep clients informed about market trends, stock performance, and investment strategies.
- Collaborate with research and advisory teams to deliver timely and relevant market insights.
- Ensure strict adherence to regulatory compliance and internal policies.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, trades, and investment activity.
Key Requirements
- Proven experience in cold calling, equity sales, and portfolio management.
- In-depth knowledge of stock markets, trading platforms, and investment instruments.
- Strong sales acumen with the ability to pitch and close investment deals.
- Excellent communication, persuasion, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret market data and trends.
Communication And Soft Skills
- Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills, along with a commercial orientation and analytical abilities.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Build, mentor and lead a team of high-caliber investment banking professionals, fostering an environment that values teamwork and continuous learning.

Qualifications:
- Education: Any Graduate , CA or MBA from a premier institute.
- Experience: 7+ years of experience in investment banking.
- Sector expertise: Extensive knowledge of Indian markets, a strong network with mid-sized and large corporates and Private Equity investors, and a deep understanding of any one of the Consumer & Consumer-tech, Healthcare and Manufacturing & Industrials sectors.
- Leadership experience: Proven experience as part of the leadership team in an investment bank.
