Strategy Consultant - Chemicals

Role Overview:

We are looking for a senior Strategy Consultant to lead high-impact consulting assignments in the Chemicals and Oil & Gas sectors. The role will focus on corporate strategy, growth transformation, digital transformation, market entry, go-to-market strategy, financial modelling and development of new business models.

The ideal candidate should possess deep industry knowledge, strong consulting capabilities and experience engaging with senior leadership teams.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead strategic consulting engagements for Chemicals and Oil & Gas clients.

- Develop corporate, portfolio, growth and digital-transformation strategies.

- Identify market opportunities, operational gaps and potential new revenue streams.

- Lead market-entry, expansion and go-to-market strategy development.

- Conduct industry, market, customer and competitor assessments.

- Evaluate the commercial viability of new products, services, markets and business models.

- Build and review detailed business cases, financial models and scenario analyses.

- Assess industry trends, regulations, sustainability requirements and technology disruptions.

- Develop transformation roadmaps covering business, technology, processes and people.

- Lead benchmarking exercises and identify relevant global best practices.

- Present strategic recommendations to senior executives and leadership teams.

- Facilitate executive workshops and align stakeholders on strategic priorities.

- Oversee project delivery, quality, timelines, team performance and stakeholder communication.

- Mentor consultants and guide teams on research, analysis, modelling and client presentations.

- Support proposal development, client acquisition and consulting-practice growth.

- Contribute to thought leadership in Chemicals, Oil & Gas and related industrial sectors.

Mandatory Skills and Experience:

- Minimum 12 years of experience in strategy consulting or a closely related consulting role.

- Minimum 4 years of direct experience in the Chemicals and/or Oil & Gas industry.

- Strong experience in digital transformation and management consulting.

- Proven experience developing go-to-market and growth strategies.

- Advanced financial-modelling and business-case-development capabilities.

- Experience leading complex consulting engagements and multidisciplinary teams.

- Strong commercial acumen and structured problem-solving skills.

- Demonstrated experience engaging with CXO and senior-management stakeholders.

- Excellent communication, presentation and executive-storytelling abilities.

- Ability to work from the Delhi/NCR office five days a week.

Education - Mandatory:

- B.Tech in any discipline

- Full-time MBA/PGDM.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience across speciality chemicals, petrochemicals, refining, energy or industrial manufacturing.

- Understanding of sustainability, decarbonisation, energy transition and circular-economy initiatives.

- Experience in portfolio strategy, product strategy, market entry and commercial due diligence.

- Strong experience in consulting sales, proposal development and account growth.

- Proficiency in financial modelling, PowerPoint and senior-management presentations.
