Job Purpose - Leading Accounting function, maintaining accurate account books as per Indian and US GAAP, and in accordance with company policies. - Closing monthly books formally with all accruals and provisions, and doing accurate and timely Corporate reporting submissions. - Ensuring that the process owners follow the controls and there are no significant internal control failures in the organization. - Completion of Statutory audits as per plan Job Responsibilities - Maintaining complete Account books as per India and US GAAP, closing the books formally within tight timelines at month-end. - Good hold on IFRS (IndAS). US GAAP experience preferred. - Corporate reporting; submissions on a timely manner every month. - Maintain Integrity and accuracy of financial ledgers - A thorough review of Accounting to ensure no surprises. - Ensure proper compliance to company policies and procedures. - General Knowledge of GST and its compliance. - Statutory audit of Annual balance sheet from a reputed audit firm - Manage Team of 2 direct reports. - Guide and supervise team members and assist in their jobs - Assess and cater to training requirements, motivation etc. - Energetic Team leader and able to keep the team motivated - Routine HR responsibilities like setting team KRA's and appraisal etc. Stakeholders (other than reporting manager) - Corporate accounting leader and the team. - Various functional heads for operational working - Auditors for Statutory and various other audits - Indian Regulatory authorities (for compliance activities in his area) For his functional areas. Education and Experience desired - Chartered Accountant with 9+ work years post qualification - Expert knowledge of IFRS (IndAS), Good working knowledge of US GAAP/IFRS, SOX and local India taxes - Experience with US MNC handling similar job responsibilities as above Attributes and Competencies desired - Accuracy and attention to detail with the mindset of good financial controls - Analytical skills - Self-motivated, professional and positive approach - Dynamic and creative - Continually challenging the status quo and thinking out of the box - Interpersonal skills, team management skills - Ability to work in a matrix reporting environment. - Customer focus - internal and external (relating to his job)
