As part of its growth and operational excellence strategy, the company is seeking a dynamic and experienced Factory Manager to lead its manufacturing facility in Kolkata.

Position Summary:

The Factory Manager will play a crucial role in managing the day-to-day operations of the production facility, ensuring that manufacturing processes run smoothly, efficiently, and in compliance with safety and quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and hands-on involvement in all areas of production, including planning, resource allocation, quality control, process improvement, and team management.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee daily production operations, ensuring optimal output in alignment with company targets.

- Develop and implement effective production plans, schedules, and workflows to meet demand forecasts.

- Maintain and monitor quality control systems to ensure food products meet company and regulatory standards.

- Manage raw material planning, inventory control, and resource allocation to minimize waste and costs.

- Ensure all manufacturing activities comply with food safety regulations, FSSAI guidelines, and other relevant industry standards.

- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness.

- Lead, train, and motivate production staff, fostering a culture of performance, discipline, and teamwork.

- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including R&D, procurement, logistics, and supply chain for smooth operations.

- Implement and maintain safety protocols to ensure a safe and hygienic work environment for all employees.

- Prepare and maintain production reports, operational KPIs, and audits for senior management review.

Qualifications & Skills Required:

- Bachelor's degree in, Food Technology, Operations Management, or a related field. An MBA or postgraduate degree in Operations or Supply Chain is preferred.

- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in manufacturing or factory operations, preferably in the food industry.

- Strong knowledge of production planning, quality control, and lean manufacturing principles.

- Familiarity with industry regulations and food safety standards such as HACCP and FSSAI.
