Role Overview:

- The Solution Specialist will play a critical role in bridging client requirements with World Wide Technology (WWT)'s services capabilities.

- This role involves discovery, solution scoping, estimation, proposal development, and statement of work (SOW) creation while ensuring delivery feasibility, commercial accuracy, and risk mitigation.

- The ideal candidate brings strong technical acumen, particularly in infrastructure and networking, combined with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead discovery and requirements gathering sessions with clients to understand business, technical, and delivery needs.

- Engage WWT subject matter experts (engineers, architects, program managers) to support solution scoping and technical validation.

- Define service delivery approach, including preliminary timelines, resource plans, risk assessments, and assumptions.

- Develop detailed cost estimates, pricing models, and budgets for professional services engagements.

- Prepare, review, and finalize Statements of Work (SOWs) that are clear, accurate, and aligned with client objectives while protecting WWT from scope creep and delivery risk.

- Present proposed scope, pricing, and delivery approach to clients and internal stakeholders.

- Revise scope, timelines, and pricing based on client feedback while maintaining profitability and delivery success.

- Perform quality and compliance reviews of SOWs and proposals prepared by other team members, following established documentation and governance processes.

- Act as the primary point of contact for the Services organization on assigned sales opportunities.

- Build and maintain strong working relationships with Sales, Services, and cross-functional WWT teams.

- Independently manage high-volume, low-complexity engagements, ensuring speed, accuracy, and consistency.

Qualifications & Experience:

- 5-10 years of experience in solutioning, professional services, or pre-sales roles within an IT services or system integrator environment.

- Proven experience writing technical Statements of Work (SOWs) and sales proposals in US English.

- Strong experience creating and working with Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), estimates, and budgets for IT professional services engagements.

- Demonstrated experience across infrastructure solution domains, including Data Center, Networking, Digital Workspace, and Mobility.

- Networking-focused technical background is strongly preferred.

- Ability to work effectively within a complex, matrixed organization.

- Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.

- Highly self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently while collaborating effectively with teams.

- Exceptional attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and willingness to think creatively to address client and delivery challenges
