About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Workday System Administrator (HCM & Absence) to join our People & Culture (P&C) team. In this role, you will support the full spectrum of system configuration, optimisation, and ongoing administration across Workday's HCM and Absence modules.
You will work closely with HRBPs, Advisory, Reward, Benefits, Payroll and external Workday partners to deliver seamless system functionality and ensure compliance across processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Workday Configuration & Administration:
- Maintain and optimise core Workday HCM configuration including job profiles, positions, supervisory organisations, compensation structures, and business processes.
- Configure and manage Absence Management processes such as time- off plans, accruals, leave types, and eligibility rules.
- Support core compensation configuration including salary plans and allowances.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Act as a key liaison for HRBPs and P&C Advisory teams, addressing system queries, advising on configuration best practices, and driving system- supported HR solutions.
- Work with internal teams (HRSS, Reward, Benefits, Payroll, IT) and external Workday support partners.
System Enhancements & Maintenance:
- Lead tenant setup, regression testing, and feature adoption during Workday biannual releases.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal governance.
Data, Reporting & Integrations:
- Conduct data audits, validations, and support system integrations (e.g., background verification platforms).
- Develop and maintain custom reports, dashboards, and analytics to support decision- making.
Support, Documentation & Training:
- Troubleshoot issues related to HCM and Absence modules; coordinate with Application Managed Services as needed.
- Maintain documentation of system configuration and processes.
- Deliver training sessions to HR stakeholders on Workday functionality and best practices.
Required Experience:
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in Workday system administration (HCM & Absence).
- Prior involvement in Workday implementation projects preferred.
- Experience collaborating with HR business partners to deliver system- enabled solutions.
- Familiarity with Workday integrations and data migration.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in HR, IT, or related discipline.
- Workday HCM or Absence certification (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of Workday tools including EIB, Calculated Fields; Workday Studio is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, problem- solving abilities, and stakeholder management skills.
- High integrity and ability to manage confidential HR data.
