Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Workday Functional Consultant Financials with 5+ years of experience in Workday ERP implementations and support. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Workday Financial Management modules, reporting, calculated fields, business process configuration, and stakeholder management. This role will be responsible for leading functional workstreams, supporting financial operations, and driving continuous improvement across the Workday ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the functional analysis, design, configuration, and deployment of Workday Financials solutions to meet evolving business requirements.

- Serve as the Workday Financials Administrator for modules including:

1. Banking & Settlement

2. Business Assets

3. Supplier Accounts & Contracts

4. Expenses

5. Procurement

6. Projects

7. Tax

- Configure and maintain Workday reporting, calculated fields, condition rules, and business processes.

- Collaborate with Accounting and Finance teams to support monthly and quarterly close activities, audits, and compliance requirements.

- Manage and maintain security roles, permissions, and access controls in accordance with organizational policies.

- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to identify, design, and implement effective business solutions.

- Act as the primary liaison between business users and technical teams to ensure successful end-to-end solution delivery.

- Support data validation, test planning, system testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and production deployments.

- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve service requests, incidents, and system-related issues.

- Maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, processes, and enhancements.

- Evaluate new Workday releases and features, assess business impact, coordinate testing activities, and execute deployments.

- Lead functional workstreams, mentor junior consultants, and contribute to best practices across the team.

- Coordinate with global teams across multiple time zones, including the US Eastern Time Zone (ET), India, and other regions.

- Participate in occasional off-hours or weekend activities for system maintenance, upgrades, and critical issue resolution.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- 5+ years of experience as a Workday Functional Consultant.

- Experience in at least 12 full lifecycle Workday implementations.

- Strong expertise in Workday Financials modules and business processes.

- Strong understanding of financial operations, accounting processes, and ERP systems.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

- Strong verbal and written English communication skills.

- Demonstrated ability to track, manage, and drive assigned tasks to completion.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Workday Certification in Financials and/or ERP functional areas.

- Experience working in global environments supporting distributed teams.

- Prior experience mentoring junior consultants and leading cross-functional initiatives.

Mandatory Requirements:

- Willingness to work in shifts of 2:30 PM 11:30 PM IST or 5:30 PM 2:30 AM IST, based on business requirements.

- Willingness to work in a hybrid work environment from the Pune office.

Education:

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.

- Relevant Workday certifications are highly preferred.
