Sales Manager
Role Overview
- The Sales Manager is a high-impact, results-driven position responsible for driving significant company revenue growth by establishing, nurturing, and expanding strategic business relationships and sales partnerships.
- This role demands a highly motivated and independent strategic thinker capable of managing complex, multi-dimensional sales efforts at both the customer and corporate levels, ensuring the consistent achievement of assigned sales targets.
- The incumbent will act as a key representative for the organization, responsible for policy design, contract negotiation, market analysis, and providing critical sales and market intelligence.
Strategic Business Development and Partnership Management
- Relationship Development and Policy Design: Develop, maintain, and strengthen core business relationships and collaborations with strategic partners, while simultaneously designing policies and frameworks that allow these partnerships to thrive and generate mutual value.
- New Partnership Identification: Proactively identify opportunities for new partnerships and strategic alliances that align with the company's strategic growth objectives and market expansion plans.
- Contract Negotiation and Enforcement: Lead negotiations for complex, legally-binding contracts with strategic partners, ensuring favorable terms and enforcing adherence to agreements throughout the engagement lifecycle.
- Strategic Planning and Execution: Develop and execute comprehensive business plans for strategic growth within the assigned territory, focusing on campaigns that leverage partners' prospects and/or existing customer base to maximize revenue.
- Sales Pipeline Mastery: Conduct in-depth understanding of each sales prospect, including their buying and organizational influences, decision-making processes, and specific needs, to effectively penetrate and close new business opportunities.
Sales Performance, Analysis, and Reporting
- Target Achievement: Be directly accountable for achieving assigned sales targets and demonstrating a successful sales track record and target achievement, particularly within the enterprise segment.
- Network Building: Build the organizational network through targeted outreach, strong planning, and professional relationship building, representing the organization at relevant industry meetings and events.
- Account Team Collaboration: Function independently within the territory while seamlessly operating within a cross-functional account team, liaising with partners to solve issues, communicate needs, and create synergy.
- Market Intelligence and Forecasting: Conduct thorough market research, synthesize reports of business metrics, and provide timely, up-to-date sales, marketing, forecast, and competitive information to the leadership team (Workafella).
- Initiative Analysis: Analyze and report on partner initiatives, forecast for strategic changes, and report on key metrics related to partnership performance and revenue contribution.
Required Candidate Profile and Skills
- Sales Track Record: Must be able to show successful sales track record and target achievement of enterprise accounts.
- Experience in Complex Sales: Must have proven and successful sales experience at managing resources and complex, multi-dimensional sales efforts, both at the customer level and corporate environment.
- Independence and Motivation: Must be highly motivated and able to function independently within their territory as well as within a cross-functional account team.
- Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal, presentation, communication, and organizational skills are required, reflecting an amiable personality and a positive outlook essential for building relationships.
- Leadership and Advocacy: Ability to Champion and manage new sales to create stronger partnerships and effectively manage relationships to build the brand and the business.
- Organizational Ability: Proven organizational skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment are necessary for success.
