General Sales Manager

Role Summary:

- The General Sales Manager (GSM) is a high-level strategic leader responsible for the total operational and financial performance of the sales organization. This role demands a blend of aggressive sales leadership and meticulous administrative oversight.


- You will be responsible for architecting the sales strategy, managing the P&L, and driving revenue growth through the scientific management of the sales funnel.


- Beyond hitting targets, you are responsible for the human capital of the business-recruiting top-tier talent, designing onboarding programs, and fostering a high-performance culture through continuous employee development.


- You will ensure that the standard of service remains "best-in-class" while maintaining strict control over budgets, payroll, and revenue forecasting to ensure long-term business sustainability.

Responsibilities:

- Strategic Sales Leadership: Provide vision and direction to a multi-layered sales team, establishing clear KPIs and performance benchmarks to exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets.

- Operational & Financial Management: Oversee the daily operations of the business, including full ownership of budgets, payroll, and financial forecasting.

- Talent Acquisition & Onboarding: Lead the recruitment lifecycle for the sales department, identifying high-potential candidates and managing the formal onboarding process to ensure rapid time-to-productivity.

- Employee Development & Coaching: Drive the professional growth of team members through structured training programs, performance appraisals, and one-on-one coaching sessions.

- Quality Assurance & Standards: Implement and enforce rigorous quality control measures to ensure that the standard of work and customer service aligns with the brand's premium positioning.

- Revenue Optimization: Analyze market trends and internal sales data to identify opportunities for margin improvement and cost reduction within the sales cycle.

- Administrative Oversight: Manage complex administrative tasks, including contract reviews, inventory management, and CRM governance to ensure data integrity.

- Financial Forecasting: Develop and present detailed revenue projections and business health reports to senior executive leadership.

- Conflict Resolution & Management: Act as the final point of escalation for complex customer service issues and internal team disputes, ensuring professional and swift resolution.

Technical Requirements:

- Core Experience: 10-15 years of professional experience in Sales and Management, with a proven track record of leading large teams in a high-pressure environment.

- Financial Literacy: Advanced proficiency in managing P&L statements, operational budgets, and payroll systems.

- CRM Mastery: Expert knowledge of CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) to track lead conversion, pipeline velocity, and team productivity.

- Forecasting Skills: Strong ability to use historical data and market indicators to create accurate revenue and inventory forecasts.

- Administrative Proficiency: High-level administrative skills, including mastery of MS Office Suite (specifically Excel for financial modeling) and project management tools.

- Recruitment Expertise: Demonstrated experience in behavior-based interviewing and designing technical sales training modules.

- Customer Service Excellence: Exceptional background in customer relationship management with a focus on high-retention strategies.

- Communication Mastery: Superior verbal and written communication skills, capable of motivating a team and negotiating with high-value clients.
