Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated Assistant Sales Manager (3+ years experience) responsible for driving business growth through strategic planning and team leadership. Key responsibilities include developing and executing strategies to drive business in new and existing markets, actively participating in the recruitment of top sales talent, and providing mentorship to employees to ensure they achieve both individual and team sales objectives. Success in this role requires excellent written and verbal communication skills and a deep understanding of the sales development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities and Technical Deliverables:
Sales Strategy and Business Development:
- Develop and execute actionable strategies and sales plans designed to drive business in new and existing markets, focusing on prospecting, lead generation, and pipeline acceleration.
- Identify new business opportunities by analyzing market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs.
- Ensure all sales activities and forecasts are tracked accurately using CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
Talent Acquisition and Team Leadership:
- Partner closely with Talent Acquisition to define the ideal candidate profile and identify and recruit top sales talent for the team.
- Mentor employees through one-on-one coaching, training, and performance reviews to help them achieve individual quotas and team objectives.
- Facilitate ongoing sales training sessions focused on product knowledge, objection handling, and relationship management techniques.
Customer Relationship Management and Communication:
- Maintain and grow a portfolio of strategic customer relationships, acting as an escalation point for high-value accounts.
- Utilize Excellent written and verbal communication skills for crafting persuasive proposals, negotiating contracts, and conducting professional sales presentations.
- Ensure clarity and alignment between the sales team's objectives and the broader business goals.
Mandatory Skills & Qualifications:
Experience: 3+ years of sales experience.
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree or equivalent experience in Business.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Skills: Deep understanding of prospecting and developing strong customer relationships.
