Key Responsibilities:

- Evaluate and assess loan applications to determine client creditworthiness and repayment capacity.

- Analyze financial documents, income proofs, property papers, and credit bureau reports for accurate risk assessment.

- Approve or recommend loan applications in line with credit policy, risk appetite, and regulatory guidelines.

- Ensure compliance with credit-related policies, internal controls, and statutory requirements.

- Collaborate with sales, operations, and legal teams to ensure smooth loan processing and disbursal.

- Monitor and track Post-Disbursement Documents (PDDs) to ensure timely submission and compliance.

- Identify potential risks and escalate cases requiring senior management review.

- Provide guidance and training to branch teams on credit appraisal processes and risk management best practices.

- Maintain high standards of integrity and ensure confidentiality of customer data.

Required Skills:

- Strong knowledge of credit appraisal, risk analysis, and underwriting processes.

- Proficiency in analyzing financial statements, property documentation, and market trends.

- Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills under tight deadlines.

- Good understanding of housing finance, mortgage products, and regulatory requirements.

- Strong communication, negotiation, and collaboration abilities.

- Proficiency in MS Office tools, credit scoring systems, and CRM software.

- Attention to detail with a high level of integrity and ethical standards.

Education:

- Bachelors degree in Finance, Commerce, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

- MBA/PGDM in Finance or a professional certification in credit/risk management is preferred but not mandatory.

Experience:

- 4-7 years of experience in credit appraisal, underwriting, or risk management, preferably in banking, housing finance, or NBFC sectors.

- Prior exposure to home loan or mortgage credit evaluation is highly desirable
