What's Wiom?

At Wiom, we're not just building another tech company - we're redefining how the internet reaches the masses using cutting-edge engineering. Our platform is designed to dynamically allocate unused bandwidth across millions of nodes, creating an ultra scalable, distributed internet network.

- 92% of Indians lack unlimited home broadband. We solve this by aggregating unused bandwidth and making it accessible at scale.

- India's first true shared economy internet platform. Buy unused internet from existing users and redistribute it affordably.

- Daily Plans, Zero Upfront Costs & Roaming Internet - enabled through our intelligent network orchestration.

Founded by IIT-IIM alumni with deep experience in Microsoft, American Express, and other global tech leaders, Wiom is backed by marquee investors like Accel, Prosus, 3one4 Capital, Omidyar Network, YourNest, Auxano, and more.

We are scaling fast - our goal is to seamlessly serve 500 million Indians in the next five years.

What are we actually building?

Wiom is a platform - think Uber, AirBnB or Urban Company, but for internet access. We don't lay our own cables or run our own network; instead, we connect two sides of a marketplace and build the technology that makes the whole thing work.

- On the supply side, we build a product that empowers local internet providers to serve customers better - giving on-the-ground operators the tools, reach, and infrastructure they'd never be able to build alone.

- On the demand side, we build a customer-facing product that acts as the interface between customers and Wiom: an AI-chat-driven experience that handles their billing, payments, and day-to-day service needs.

What makes this hard - and exciting - is who we build for. Our customer is the "Bharat" user, whose context, expectations, and relationship with technology differ sharply from the typical urban, English-first user. Building for them takes deep empathy and real understanding - it's not a problem you can solve from a distance.

What's it like to work at Wiom?

We are going to be upfront. The way we work does NOT suit everyone. No old fashioned hierarchy. No micro-management. No hiding behind fancy job titles. What we have instead is high ownership. You are a super IC - an individual contributor who owns outcomes end to end, not someone who manages from the sidelines. You will pick up problems that matter, run with them, and be accountable for where they land.

The bar here is high. We expect sharp thinking, fast execution, a lot of context absorption and a relentless focus on the 50 crore people we are building for. That can sound intense, and it is - but you are never on your own. You get the context, the trust, and the guidance to figure it out, and a team that wants you to win.

Who's a Builder?

A Builder is someone who takes ownership of a problem, figures out what needs to change, builds solutions, and drives measurable business impact.

At Wiom, we're looking for someone who combines the thinking of a Product Manager, the creativity of a Designer, and the hands-on ability to turn ideas into working solutions.

You'll spend most of your time understanding customer problems, designing product experiences, building solutions, and testing what works. AI tools will be central to how you work, from data analysis and solution design to building, testing, and iteration.

For example, if conversion is falling, you might analyze funnel data, speak with users, identify friction in the journey, redesign the experience, build a working solution using tools like Claude Code or Codex, and run an experiment to measure its impact.

You don't need prior coding experience or familiarity with these tools. What matters is your willingness to learn and use them to independently solve problems and build solutions. You'll work across product, data, technology, and customer experience to improve acquisition, conversion, and retention.

Your success will be measured by the business outcomes you drive and the customer problems you solve.

What will you actually do?

1. Identify problems worth solving:

- Analyze customer journeys, funnel data, and user behavior to identify growth opportunities.

- Speak with users to understand their needs, motivations, and friction points.

- Challenge assumptions, diagnose root causes, and prioritize problems based on potential impact.

2. Design solutions:

- Develop hypotheses about what needs to change to improve customer behavior.

- Design user journeys, interfaces, and product experiences, using AI tools to explore and refine solutions.

- Explore multiple approaches and make thoughtful trade-offs between customer experience, speed, and impact.

3. Build solutions:

- Turn ideas and designs into working prototypes and product experiences using AI-powered tools like Claude Code and Codex.

- Work hands-on with AI to build, debug, improve, and iterate on solutions.

- Independently build and test solutions wherever possible, collaborating with Engineering and Design to take them to production when needed.

4. Test, learn, and drive impact:

- Test what you build, leveraging AI tools to identify issues and improve quality.

- Design and run experiments to validate hypotheses and measure business impact.

- Analyze results, understand why something worked or failed, and iterate quickly.

- Take ownership of growth metrics and persist through setbacks until you achieve meaningful outcomes.

What makes you a great fit?

- First-principles thinking: You challenge assumptions, break problems down to fundamentals, and reason independently.

- Exceptional grit: You remain resourceful and persistent through setbacks, adapting your approach without abandoning the goal.

- Problem-solving: You diagnose root causes and develop solutions to ambiguous problems.

- Builder mindset: You enjoy creating things, experimenting, and turning ideas into working solutions.

- Ownership and execution: You take responsibility for driving outcomes end to end.

- Analytical thinking: You use data, metrics, and experiments to make decisions.

Experience and qualifications:

- Ideally 5 - 7 years of experience in Product or Growth roles, with demonstrated experience driving measurable business impact.

- Demonstrated experience solving complex problems and delivering measurable business impact.

- Strong product thinking and an eye for intuitive user experiences.

- Prior coding experience is not required. Familiarity with Claude Code, Codex, or similar tools would be a plus. Willingness to learn and actively use these tools is essential.

- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.

- Demonstrated problem-solving ability, grit, ownership, and execution.
