Description:
As Director Solution Design, you'll be the architect of Wiom's design-led systems thinking.
You'll lead how business, design, and technology come together, crafting end-to-end solutions that are user-centric, operationally grounded, and scalable across India's diversity.
You'll define frameworks that turn chaos into clarity: mapping journeys across apps, touchpoints, incentives, and ops realities, ensuring Wiom's promise feels simple, human, and magical on every screen and street.
Responsibilities:
- Own the Solution Blueprint for all major initiatives (Customer App, Partner App, and future products).
- Translate business objectives into modular, scalable user journeys that align product, ops, and design decisions.
- Use frameworks like JTBD, HEART, and Design Concepts(Simplicity as Emotional Safety and Designing for Doubt) to drive decisions.
- Partner with Product, Tech, and Operations to bridge intent and execution from user insights to rollout.
- Run Design Sprints and System Mapping Workshops to prototype solutions for real-world constraints.
- De-risk new launches by identifying dependencies and invisible operational costs early.
- Partner with Analytics to design measurement plans for each initiative (HEART, funnel, effort-value, ROI).
- Convert data into narrative insights that guide prioritisation and design iterations.
- Build and lead a multidisciplinary team (Product Designers, Solution Architects, Analysts).
- Mentor designers to think in systems, not screens and help product managers design with empathy.
- ChampionOne Team Thinking across Wiom connecting design rituals, peer reviews, and playbooks.
- Shape Wiom's long-term design and product evolution roadmap.
- Represent Solution Design in leadership forums, influencing strategic priorities with evidence and empathy.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience in Product / UX / Service Design / System Thinking roles.
- Have led multi-disciplinary teams that designedend-to-end digital + physical ecosystems(apps, ops, field, comms).
- Fluent in frameworks: JTBD, HEART, Design Ops, Service Blueprints, Behavioural Design, and Data-driven Design.
- Strong storytelling ability can turn a whiteboard sketch into a north-star narrative.
- Thrive in ambiguity, prototype fast, and align diverse stakeholders around clarity.
- Obsessed with making complexity invisible to the user.
