Whizzo Textiles - Chartered Accountant - Biz Finance & Accounting

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Finance (FP&A & Commercial)

- Support budgeting, forecasting, and monthly business planning processes.

- Prepare MIS reports such as P&L, cash flow, product-level margins, and sales analytics.

- Analyze business performance and identify variances vs budget/forecast.

- Assist in pricing decisions, margin analysis, and commercial evaluation.

- Coordinate with sales, supply chain, and operations for business insights.

2. Finance & Accounts

- Assist in accounting entries, month-end closure, and ledger reconciliations.

- Support preparation of financial statements as per applicable accounting standards.

- Handle vendor/customer reconciliations and basic working capital reporting.

- Support statutory audits, internal audits, and compliance documentation.

- Assist in monitoring controls, documentation, and financial accuracy.

3. Cross-Border Finance Support

- Coordinate with treasury team for import/export documentation (BOE, BL, FIRC, invoices, etc.).

- Assist in customer collections and supplier payments tracking.

- Work with banking teams on payment status, reconciliations, and documentation.

4. Process Building & Automation (Startup Environment)

- Help design new processes and financial SOPs for a fast-scaling organization.

- Support implementation of ERP systems, automation tools, and MIS dashboards.

- Identify opportunities for process improvement in accounting and reporting workflows.

Skills & Competencies Required

- Strong analytical and numerical skills.

- Good understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.

- Proficiency in MS Excel; exposure to ERP systems is a plus.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment.

- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.

- Attention to detail and strong ownership mindset.

Qualifications

- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) - Immediate Joiners & Freshers preferred.

- Articleship experience in audit, taxation, or accounting firms is beneficial.

- Strong academic and conceptual foundation in finance and accounting.

- Accuracy and timeliness of MIS and financial reports.

- Quality of financial analysis and business insights.

- Timeliness in month-end closure and reconciliations.

- Support quality for audits and compliance.
