Logistics is complex and if we look back (5-10 years), it was unorganized, completely offline, and deep with trivial and deep-rooted problems. Though industry contributes 14% to the GDP not much focus has been put and progress has been made to solve the problems of the industry. Vision is to empower truck fleet operators and build a truck service ecosystem to solve road logistics. WHY WHEELSEYE? - Began in 2017 by solving for truck transportation first before building to solve logistics - WheelsEye app is used to secure trucks against theft, track location, build operational visibility & efficiency, manage toll transactions, avail credit from NBFCs, purchase fuel, and insurance & reduce an empty truck runs. The ecosystem approach helps us go deep with every FO, creating an unassailable moat - We operate in a flexible environment with no attendance tracking and no leave policy. Key Responsibilities: - Lead a team of hardware and firmware developers in the design, development, testing, and maintenance of IoT solutions for the logistics industry. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, data scientists, and business analysts to identify business requirements and design IoT solutions that meet these requirements. - Develop and maintain IoT development processes, tools, and standards to ensure the highest level of quality, efficiency, and scalability. - Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior IoT developers, including code reviews, feedback, and guidance. - Develop and maintain IoT documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and user manuals. - Participate in the development and execution of IoT test plans, including unit tests, integration tests, and system tests. - Identify and prioritize IoT development tasks based on project timelines, resource availability, and business priorities. - Identify and resolve IoT defects and issues through debugging, testing, and root cause analysis. - Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in IoT development and identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in the logistics industry. Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field. - 7+ years of experience in IoT development, with a proven track record of leading IoT development teams. - Strong proficiency in IoT development languages such as embedded C, C++. - Strong understanding of IoT development processes, tools, and standards, including version control systems and bug-tracking tools. - Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously. - Experience in the logistics industry is a plus.
