Purpose of the Role & Key Responsibilities:

Build a Trusted and Relatable Brand in Rural India:

- Define our brand positioning, tone of voice, and storytelling approach for the Bharat audience.

- Build consistent messaging across platforms on-ground, audio and digital.

- Own content creation for vernacular and visual-first communication (audio, video, static).

Develop and Scale Owned Media as a Growth Engine:

- Drive daily Footfall growth through WhatsApp, SMS, IVR, and RCS, with high personalisation.

- Build daily communication rhythms that drive engagement, repetition, and retention.

- Work with tech and growth teams to automate and optimise message flows.

Act as the Voice of the Rural Customer:

- Build deep customer empathy through on-ground research, agent feedback, and data.

- Run message testing to refine brand resonance in vernacular and cultural contexts.

Drive Demand Through High-Impact Local Campaigns

- Build the Below-the-Line marketing strategy and execute campaigns across key rural geographies.

Team, Agency & Vendor Management:

- Manage a lean content creation team.

- Collaborate with external agencies (across channels) to execute campaigns at scale.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

- 35 years of experience in B2C marketing E-Commerce/Consumer tech; (Rural/Bharat market exposure is a plus).

- Proven track record in executing Consumer-facing campaigns across channels.

- Grasp of vernacular communication, local consumer behaviour, and trust-building.

- Comfortable with tools like Gupshup, Karix, FyNo or similar.

- Analytical skills, including experience with SQL and data-driven decision-making.
