Team Description:
- The Finance team at Wego ensures the accuracy and integrity of our financial operations, from managing accounting records to regulatory compliance.
- This team is responsible for statutory and management reporting, audit, and tax compliance, helping Wego maintain financial accuracy and streamline operations.
- The Role: We are seeking a highly experienced Finance Manager to oversee the full spectrum of finance functions for Wego's entity in India.
- The successful candidate will manage accounting records, financial statements, compliance, tax, and regulatory requirements, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial operations.
- This role includes collaborating with HQ to manage local cash flow needs and improve finance processes.
- What you will be working on: You will be responsible for overseeing the GL function, accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP), financial reporting, tax compliance, and audit coordination.
- Your role will involve driving continuous improvement in finance processes to enhance accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency.
Core Responsibilities:
- Manage the GL function and oversee AR and AP to ensure accurate and timely financial transactions.
- Prepare balance sheet schedules monthly and ensure timely month-end and year-end closing.
- Prepare complete sets of financial statements for management and statutory reporting.
- Ensure compliance with local VAT and corporate tax requirements.
- Coordinate and execute local audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Drive improvements in finance processes for accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
- Collaborate with HQ to manage working capital needs and prepare cash flow forecasts.
- Stay updated on FRS requirements to ensure compliance.
Skills and experience:
Minimum Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy; professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CMA) preferred.
- 5-8 years of experience in finance and accounting roles, including some audit experience.
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
- Strong understanding of financial standards, regulations, and compliance.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
