We are seeking a Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with 5-8 years of post-qualification experience in tax compliance and advisory.
- The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in Corporate tax, GST, Transfer Pricing, and other compliances, preferably gained at a Top 10 CA firm or within a corporate finance/controllership function at a GCC.
- This role (reporting into Finance Head) will be pivotal in managing the companys tax compliance framework in India and will serve as the single point of contact for internal stakeholders, external consultants, and government authorities on tax-related matters.
- Approximately 70% of the role will focus on taxation, with the remaining 30%supporting accounting and finance operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Tax Compliance & Reporting:
- Prepare working files and reconciliations for monthly statutory filings/payments (TDS, GST, STPI, etc.
- Review month-end close reports and ensure compliance hygiene, including ownership of tax-related GL accounts.
- File quarterly TDS returns, monthly/annual GST returns, and manage advance tax computations and payments.
- Track and implement regulatory amendments/notifications (Income Tax, GST, PF, PT, FEMA, STPI, etc.
Projects & Advisory:
- Drive the Advanced Pricing Agreement (APA) project, coordinating with US tax teams, external consultants, and tax authorities.
- Provide tax/compliance guidance to business and finance teams on TDS, GST, FEMA, STPI, and other regulatory matters.
- Prepare information and liaise with consultants for GST refund claims.
Audit & Assessments:
- Coordinate statutory, tax, transfer pricing, and internal (IFC) audits, including preparation of supporting documentation.
- Support year-end corporate income tax filings, TP compliance (3CEB), and ensure timely submissions.
- Handle tax scrutiny assessments and coordinate with external advisors for required information.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Partner with US tax teams on information requests and reporting requirements.
- Act as the primary point of contact for external consultants and internal stakeholders on tax-related matters.
- Support the Finance Head on ad-hoc finance operations and special projects.
Regulatory Operations:
- Execute operational tasks on regulatory portals (Income Tax, GST, TRACES, etc.
- Manage ad-hoc compliance requirements as they arise.
What Were Looking For:
- Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA) with 58 years of post-qualification experience.
- Background: Experience from a Top 10 CA firm or corporate finance/controllership role in a GCC preferred.
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of direct and indirect taxes, corporate tax, and transfer pricing.
- Sound accounting knowledge with hands-on experience in compliance tools and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
Behavioural Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills; ability to influence and collaborate across stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
