ORGANIZATION DESCRIPTION AND OPPORTUNITY  Waste Capital Partners, via its India-based operating company Waste Ventures India, employs low-income individuals to environmentally process waste and then sell the compost to farmers. We are not content in creating a profitable venture, we create waste picker livelihoods, prevent 90% of waste we sort from being dumped, reduce greenhouse gases, and increase agricultural productivity. We are a Silicon Valley management company with operations in India and, soon, in other global locations.   We recently raised a round of finance and are rolling out projects across India and beyond. As such, we are seeking a New Business Line Manager who can identify exciting new revenue opportunities in waste management and waste byproducts for the firm to grow into.  RESPONSIBILITIES  The New Business Line Manager will:  1) Identify, experiment, and implement other waste byproducts (e.g. RDF, biogas, etc.) into our core model in order to increase project-level profitability   - Design and execute trials of new byproducts at our project sites (working with site staff)  - Project plan intended research into the various potential byproducts, with updates to the Principal and other WCP/WVI leadership  - Conduct financial analyses to determine financial viability of new byproducts  - Develop a network throughout South Asia of implementers and researchers of different byproduct technologies  - Work with the Innovations Manager to incorporate new and appropriate byproducts into project blueprints as per requirements and feasibility  - Lead development of market entry strategies for new byproducts, and work with the Senior Marketing Manager to ensure alignment with broader WVI marketing strategy  - Work with site staff, Business Unit Managers, and Senior Marketing Manager to ensure proper implementation/execution and sales processes   - Write grant proposals to carry out trials with research partners  2) Identify opportunities to enhance project-level revenue to meet monthly revenue targets  - Work closely with site staff (Supervisor, Business Unit Manager) to ensure monthly revenue targets are met  - Work closely with site staff to assess local conditions and innovate new waste byproducts or waste services to enhance project   - Work with Senior Marketing Manager to develop aggregated sales channels for various byproducts within clusters or across regions  Beyond the specific aforementioned core objectives, the role will have the following responsibilities:  - Provide support as needed to WCP/WVI leadership as needed (e.g. investor or Board of Directors reports, internal strategy, modeling financial impacts of partnerships or initiatives)  - Support recruitment of new team members  - Potentially manage a team as the company grows  - Potentially develop a training or consulting practice to companies, municipalities, and other waste sector players  QUALIFICATIONS  Experience  - High-performing undergraduate background required, and top-tier graduate degree (top MBA school preferred)  - Minimum 2 years of professional experience, preferably in management consulting or as a Product Manager  - Background in environmental engineering, microbiology, or solid waste management is a plus  - Mix of Western and emerging markets work or educational experience is a plus  - Telugu language ability is a plus  Other skills  Waste Capital Partners- work culture is one of - Innovators but Doers- (with track records to prove it!).
