- We are looking for a Manager, Technical Program Management (TPM) to lead a team of TPMs and drive the execution of highly strategic, complex programs that power the delivery of world-class sports experiences across our digital platforms.
- Based in Bengaluru, you will oversee programs that span multiple teams, components, and processes, and play a key role in shaping the future of sports technology at Warner Bros.Discovery.
- This is a leadership role for someone who thrives in ambiguity, balances strategic vision with tactical execution, and is passionate about building inclusive, high-performing teams.
Key Responsibilities.
- Program Leadership: Lead and manage large-scale, cross-functional programs with complex dependencies across engineering, product, operations, and external partners.
- Strategic Execution: Own the delivery of critical initiatives from planning through launch.
- Balance short-term execution with long-term strategic goals, and adapt plans as priorities evolve.
- Technical Expertise: Act as a trusted technical leader with deep understanding of at least one major technical area.
- Evaluate implementation proposals and guide teams toward scalable solutions.
- Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships across departments and organizations.
- Influence decisions and outcomes through data, insight, and collaborationeven when not in direct control.
- Process Innovation: Identify and implement scalable program management practices.
- Challenge the status quo and drive continuous improvement across teams and domains.
- Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for executive-level communication.
- Drive transparency through clear, timely updates and facilitate alignment across diverse stakeholders.
- Mentorship & Team Leadership: Manage and coach a team of TPMs, including Senior TPMs.
- Provide career development guidance, foster an inclusive team culture, and model leadership excellence.
- Resource Planning: Advocate for your teams needs, manage resource allocation, and ensure the right support is in place to deliver on commitments.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 12+ years of experience in technical program management, with at least 23 years in a people management role.
- Experience in digital media, streaming, or live sports platforms is a strong plus.
- Technical Acumen: Strong understanding of software development, architecture, and operations.
- Ability to evaluate technical proposals and guide cross-functional teams.
- Execution Track Record: Proven ability to deliver complex programs with measurable impact.
- Skilled at balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
- Leadership & Influence: Experience leading through influence across teams and organizations.
- Trusted partner to engineering, product, and business leaders.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable presenting to executives and facilitating cross-functional discussions.
- People Management: Demonstrated success in coaching and developing TPMs.
