Job Title : Business Finance Manager

Location : Bangalore

Experience : 4-9 years

Role Objective :

The Manager Business Finance will act as a strategic finance partner to business leaders, driving profitability, cost efficiency, and data-driven decision-making across Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Commercial functions. The role requires strong exposure to operations-heavy businesses such as D2C, E-commerce, Internet platforms, or Manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities :

Business Partnering & Decision Support :

- Act as a finance business partner to Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Operations, and Category teams

- Support leadership with financial insights for pricing, cost optimization, capacity planning, and expansion decisions.

- Drive ROI analysis for new initiatives, warehouses, manufacturing lines, and automation projects

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) :

- Own annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and monthly performance tracking for assigned business units

- Analyze variance between actuals vs budget, identify key drivers, and present actionable insights

- Prepare business reviews, MIS dashboards, and management presentations

Supply Chain & Manufacturing Finance :

- Monitor and improve unit economics, contribution margins, and cost structures

- Track and analyze COGS, logistics costs, warehousing expenses, manpower, and overheads

- Partner with operations to drive cost reduction, productivity improvement, and process efficiencies

- Support make vs buy decisions, vendor negotiations, and capacity utilization analysis

Commercial & Revenue Analytics :

- Support pricing strategy, discounting, promotions, and margin protection

- Evaluate impact of marketplace commissions, logistics costs, and SLA penalties

- Work closely with Sales & Category teams to improve profitability by channel, SKU, and region

Governance, Controls & Compliance Support :

- Ensure financial discipline, cost controls, and adherence to internal policies

- Work closely with Accounting, Audit, and Compliance teams for smooth month-end and year-end closures

- Support audits and provide financial explanations for operational variances

Key Skills & Competencies :

- Strong business finance and FP&A expertise

- Deep understanding of supply chain, manufacturing, and operations finance

- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to convert data into business insights

- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

- Hands-on experience with Excel, financial models, dashboards, and ERP systems

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth D2C / Internet environment

Experience :

- Experience in Business Finance / FP&A

Preferred background :

- D2C / E-commerce / Internet companies

- Manufacturing or supply chain led organizations

- Consumer, Retail, FMCG, or Logistics environments

Preferred Exposure :

- Supply chain finance, manufacturing finance, E Commerce, D2C or operations-heavy roles

- Experience working with senior business stakeholders

- Exposure to scaling businesses or start-up / high-growth environments is a plus
