
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Vision:
- Translate Strategy into Action: Take ownership of the product roadmap, translating high-level business goals and customer insights into actionable product plans, features, and
requirements.
- Market & Competitive Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis to identify new opportunities, anticipate market trends, and ensure the product maintains a competitive edge.
- Business Case Development: Create and present comprehensive business cases for new product initiatives, demonstrating a clear understanding of market opportunity, financial projections, and strategic value.
Product Lifecycle Management:
- End-to-End Ownership: Take full responsibility for the product lifecycle, from ideation and discovery to development, launch, and post-launch performance analysis.
- Data-Driven Decisions: Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure product success. Use a rigorous, data-driven approach to inform decisions, prioritize features, and iterate based on customer feedback and performance data.
- User-Centric Design: Champion the voice of the customer. Lead product discovery efforts through user research, interviews, and A/B testing to gain deep empathy for user needs and pain points.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Leadership:
- Serve as a Bridge: Act as the primary liaison between engineering, design, data science, marketing, sales, and customer support teams. Ensure all stakeholders are aligned on the product vision, strategy, and priorities.
- Influence Without Authority: Exhibit exceptional leadership and communication skills to
influence and align diverse teams and senior leadership towards a common goal.
- Mentor and Coach: Provide mentorship and guidance to junior product managers and peers, contributing to the growth and development of the product management team.
- Go-to-Market Strategy: Partner with marketing and sales to develop and execute effective go-to-market plans, including product positioning, messaging, and sales enablement materials.
Qualifications:
- An MBA is a plus.
- 10-14 years of experience in product management, with a proven track record of successfully launching and scaling products.
- Strategic Acumen: Demonstrated ability to translate complex business problems into clear product strategies and executable roadmaps.
- Technical Fluency: A strong understanding of software development processes, Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum), and technology, enabling effective collaboration with engineering teams.
- Data Analysis: Expertise in using analytics tools and data to undertake informed product decisions and measure success.
- Leadership Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to lead, influence, and motivate cross-functional teams.
- Problem-Solving: A creative and persistent problem-solver with a strong aptitude for critical thinking.
