Role Objective

The CEO will spearhead the creation and growth of Waaree's Transformers business, with direct responsibility for strategy, operations, market expansion, and profitability. This is a build-and-scale mandate, focused on establishing best-in-class manufacturing, driving aggressive market capture, and achieving sustained high-growth performance.

Key Deliverables

Manufacturing Excellence

- Establish the transformer manufacturing facility, ensuring world-class production capabilities, quality standards, and operational efficiency.

- Oversee supply chain and vendor development to ensure seamless production and delivery cycles.

- Drive product certifications and regulatory compliance.

Market Development & Expansion

- Develop a strong client base across utilities, EPCs, and industrial customers, driving market penetration and revenue growth.

- Expand into international markets, leveraging product reliability, cost competitiveness, and Waaree's global reputation.

- Build strategic partnerships with key stakeholders.

Financial Management

- Manage business financials, ensuring profitability, cost control, and healthy cash flows.

Organizational Leadership

- Lead organizational development, building a high-performance leadership and operations team.

Ideal Candidate Profile

- B.Tech/B.E. (Electrical, Mechanical, Production/Industrial); M.Tech preferred.

- 20+ years in transformer manufacturing, with leadership roles handling up to 20/50 MVA class products.

- Proven experience scaling businesses to - 1,500 Cr+ turnover, with a consistent 30%+ growth track record.

- Strong exposure to international markets, particularly USA.

- Deep domain expertise in transformer design, manufacturing, and supply chain.

- Well-connected with utilities, certification bodies, and industry influencers.
