Key Responsibilities:
TDS & Statutory ComplianceHandle TDS deduction, computation, and payment for all vendor and employee-related transactions
General Accounts:
- Assist in journal entries, ledger scrutiny, and month-end closing activities.
- Reconcile vendor and customer accounts regularly to ensure data accuracy.
- Support internal and statutory audits by providing necessary documentation and clarifications.
Banking Operations Management:
- Handle all day-to-day banking activities, including processing vendor and employee payments, fund transfers, cheque deposits, and handling incoming receipts.
Reconciliation:
- Perform daily bank reconciliations for all company accounts. Investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Record Maintenance:
- Maintain up-to-date records of bank transactions, account statements, and related correspondence in coordination with the finance and accounts teams.
Bank Coordination:
- Liaise with internal departments and external banking partners to resolve transaction issues, account discrepancies, or queries in a timely manner.
Compliance & Controls:
- Ensure all banking operations adhere to company policies, internal control procedures, and regulatory requirements. Support statutory, tax, and internal audit processes by providing required banking data and documents.
Reporting:
- Assist in preparing regular MIS reports on cash flow, fund positions, and other banking-related summaries for management review.
Audit Support:
- Provide necessary documentation and clarifications during internal and external audits related to banking transactions.
Process Improvement:
- Stay updated with current banking products, technologies, and compliance norms. Recommend process improvements or digital banking initiatives to enhance efficiency.
Desired Candidate Profile:
- Graduate / Postgraduate in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance.
- 2-5 years of relevant experience in banking operations, treasury, or accounts.
- Strong understanding of bank reconciliation, payment processes, and banking compliance.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems (SAP / Tally / Oracle), and online banking platforms.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines.
