Job Title: Vice President, Enterprise Architecture, Global.

Role Purpose:

The Vice President, Enterprise Architecture, Global is accountable for running the operational engine of the company's enterprise architecture practice: turning the architecture framework, principles, and roadmaps set by the EVP into a functioning, globally consistent practice that produces real designs, real governance decisions, and real reductions in fragmentation and technical debt.

Where the EVP sets the enterprise architecture strategy and represents architecture at ExCo, this role owns its global execution running governance operationally, coordinating domain architecture leads across regions, and ensuring the practice consistently delivers usable architecture outputs to delivery teams on time.

Key Responsibilities:

Architecture Practice Operations:

- Run the day-to-day operating model for the global enterprise architecture practice: intake, prioritisation, and resourcing of architecture requests across regions and domains.

- Own the operational cadence of architecture governance review boards, exception requests, and standards approvals ensuring decisions are made quickly and consistently.

- Track practice-wide performance (cycle time, exception volume, standards adherence) and report progress against the architecture roadmap to the EVP.

- Maintain the enterprise architecture repository: principles, patterns, reference architectures, and technology standards, ensuring it stays current and usable.

Cross-Domain Execution:

- Coordinate execution across application, cloud/infrastructure, data, integration, and security architecture domains, ensuring designs produced in one domain are consistent with the others.

- Resolve cross-domain design conflicts and trade-offs at the working level, escalating only decisions that require EVP or ExCo-level judgment.

- Oversee delivery of HLDs and reference architectures for major transformation programmes, ensuring domain architects and solution architects are aligned and unblocked.

- Drive execution of the technology estate rationalisation agenda (buy / hold / modernise / retire) through concrete programme-level decisions.

Regional Delivery Hub Enablement:

- Ensure architecture designs and standards are fit for scaling delivery across India, ASEAN, and China hubs, adapting practice operations to hub-specific delivery models.

- Work directly with regional IT and delivery leads to embed architecture standards into local ways of working, without adding unnecessary approval friction.

- Support shared services and GCC teams with practical architecture guidance so designs can be built and supported consistently across locations.

Governance, Risk & Technical Debt Execution:

- Operate the architecture assurance process for major investments and programmes, ensuring reviews happen on schedule and findings are tracked to closure.

- Maintain a consolidated view of technical debt and standards exceptions across the estate, and drive remediation plans through to completion.

- Ensure regulatory, data protection, and security requirements are operationally embedded into architecture review checkpoints across all regions.

Team Coordination:

- Coordinate the day-to-day work of Associate Directors, solution architects, and domain leads reporting into the practice, ensuring consistent quality and pace of output.

- Run regular architecture practice reviews and working sessions to keep distributed architecture teams aligned to a single set of standards.

Experience & Qualifications:

Required:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (Master's preferred).

- 12+ years' experience in enterprise or solution architecture, including experience running architecture governance or practice operations.

- Demonstrated experience coordinating architecture delivery across multiple domains (application, cloud, data, integration, security) and multiple regions with the ability to create both high level and low level technology blueprint designs.

- Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or equivalent), enterprise applications, and integration architecture.

- Deep understanding of the TOGAF framework.

- Cloud Engineering qualifications preferably in AWS or Azure.

- AI and Engineering toolset experience.

- Ability to work in agile, dispersed global teams.

- Solution & experience design experience.

- Experience operating in a regulated or risk-sensitive industry, ideally across multiple jurisdictions.

- Experience working with or within Global Capability Centre (GCC) or shared services delivery models.

Preferred:

- TOGAF, Zachman, or equivalent enterprise architecture certification.

- Experience running architecture review boards or equivalent governance forums.

- Track record supporting large-scale ERP or cloud transformation programmes through to delivery.

- Experience with Big Data solutions such as Databricks, Snowflake, Google Big Query an advantage.

- Experience in visualisation tools an advantage.
