Job Title: Managed Services Platform Product Owner


Location: Onsite

Position Summary:


We are seeking a visionary and hands-on Managed Services Platform Product Owner to lead the end-to-end lifecycle of a next-generation managed services platform.


This role encompasses design, build, development, transition, and operations of the platform, ensuring it aligns with business goals, market needs, and technology trends.


The ideal candidate will bring a strong product mindset, deep understanding of ITSM/ITIL frameworks, and experience in platform strategy, architecture, and agile product ownership.


Key Responsibilities:


Product Vision, Strategy & Roadmap:


- Define and evolve the short-term and long-term vision for the Managed Services Platform.


- Develop a strategic roadmap based on market trends, customer needs, and internal capabilities.


- Conduct market research and competitive benchmarking to inform platform direction.


Platform Design & Architecture:


- Own the functional and technical design of the platform, including service models, integrations, and user experience.


- Apply design thinking principles to define user personas and craft service journeys.


- Ensure alignment with industry standards and compliance frameworks (e.g., ITIL, SIAM).


Development & Build Oversight:


- Collaborate with engineering teams to translate product requirements into scalable platform features.


- Manage product backlog, EPICs, user stories, wireframes, and process flows.


- Oversee platform build phases, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes.


Transition & Operationalization:


- Lead platform transition from build to steady-state operations, including hyper care and support enablement.


- Define and manage success criteria, testing protocols, and operational KPIs.


- Ensure seamless onboarding of internal and external stakeholders.


Sales & Enablement Support:


- Develop sales enablement materials including capability decks, training documentation, and demo environments.


- Support sales and pre-sales teams during RFI, RFP, and solution defense stages.


- Represent the platform in client workshops and strategic discussions.


Required Skills & Qualifications:


Functional & Technical Skills:


- Proven experience in product ownership and platform architecture within managed services or ITSM domains.


- Strong understanding of ITIL, SIAM, and service management frameworks.


- Experience in designing and operating enterprise-grade platforms.


- Proficiency in Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools (Jira, Confluence).


- Skilled in wireframing, prototyping, and product documentation.


- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.


Education:


- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (mandatory).


- Masters degree (MBA preferred) is an advantage.


Experience:


- 10+ years of overall IT experience, with at least 5+ years in product ownership, platform design, or architecture roles.


- Experience in managed services, ITSM platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, BMC Remedy), and operational delivery is preferred.


Certifications:


- Certified Product Owner (e.g., CSPO) preferred.


- ITIL Foundation (mandatory); Intermediate/Expert preferred.
