About the Role:
- Vishay's Risk & Compliance team is dedicated to safeguarding the organization through robust compliance frameworks and proactive risk management. As a Senior Officer - Product Compliance, you will play a key role in ensuring adherence to applicable regulatory requirements and internal standards, with a particular focus on product-related compliance.
- This position involves supporting the development, implementation, and maintenance of policies, conducting risk assessments, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to strengthen compliance culture across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain product compliance policies, procedures, and standards in alignment with global and local regulations.
- Assess and manage business risks related to product compliance, including those arising from acquisitions, partnerships, or product development.
- Act as an internal advisor to increase awareness and ensure understanding of compliance obligations across departments.
- Conduct or support internal audits, gap assessments, and risk analyses related to product compliance.
- Prepare compliance documentation, regulatory reports, certifications, and maintain accurate filing of compliance records.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on remediation plans and ensure timely resolution of compliance issues.
- Lead or contribute to projects involving regulatory changes, product certifications, and process improvements.
- Liaise with local and regional regulatory authorities as required, ensuring effective communication and compliance.
- Support the drafting and implementation of compliance guidelines to ensure consistent application across business units.
- Create presentations and detailed reports to communicate findings, risks, and recommendations to leadership.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's/masters' degree in Engineering, Regulatory Affairs, Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in a compliance, regulatory, or risk management role-preferably in manufacturing, electronics, or product-driven industries.
- Strong understanding of global product compliance regulations (e.g., RoHS, REACH, WEEE, Conflict Minerals, etc.).
- Experience in compliance audits, assessments, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Ability to analyze complex data and translate findings into actionable insights.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional certifications such as CRCM, CCEP, or equivalent are a plus.
- Experience working with international teams and regulatory bodies.
- Familiarity with ERP systems or compliance management tools.
