Primary Purpose of the role
The primary purpose of an Inside Sales Leader is to drive growth and expansion for a company by identifying and creating new business opportunities. The role is multifaceted and involves various responsibilities aimed at enhancing the organization's market position and financial performance.
Duties & Responsibilities
1. Team Leadership:
- Provide leadership and direction to the inside sales team.
- Set clear goals and objectives for the team.
- Motivate and inspire team members to achieve their targets.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
2. Sales Strategy Development:
- Collaborate with senior management to develop sales strategies and plans.
- Identify opportunities for sales growth and expansion.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to stay ahead in the market.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase sales efficiency and effectiveness.
3. Sales Process Optimization:
- Streamline the sales process to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Implement best practices for lead generation, qualification, and conversion.
- Utilize sales technology tools effectively to enhance productivity.
- Continuously monitor and improve key performance indicators (KPIs) such as conversion rates, sales cycle length, and customer acquisition cost.
4. Training and Development:
- Provide training and coaching to inside sales representatives.
- Develop training programs to enhance sales skills and product knowledge.
- Keep the team updated on industry trends, product updates, and sales techniques.
- Identify skill gaps and provide targeted training to address them.
5. Performance Management:
- Monitor individual and team performance against targets.
- Identify top performers and provide recognition and rewards.
- Address underperformance through coaching, mentoring, or disciplinary action if necessary.
- Develop incentive programs to motivate the team and drive results.
6. Customer Relationship Management:
- Foster strong relationships with key customers and accounts.
- Ensure excellent customer service throughout the sales process.
- Address of customer concerns and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
- Work closely with other departments such as marketing and customer support to ensure seamless customer experience.
7. Reporting and Analytics:
- Generate regular reports on sales performance and trends.
- Analyze sales data to identify areas for improvement and growth.
- Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on data analysis.
- Utilize CRM software to track leads, opportunities, and sales activities.
8. Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with other departments such as marketing, product development, and customer support to achieve common goals.
- Provide feedback to product development teams based on customer insights and sales feedback.
- Coordinate with marketing teams to align sales efforts with marketing campaigns and initiatives.
9. Stay Updated:
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and best practices in sales leadership.
- Attend conferences, workshops, and networking events to expand knowledge and stay connected with industry peers.
Skills & Qualifications:
Essential:
- Prior Experience (at least 8 years) in generation leads and managing high performing teams for India, SEA and MEA market for SaaS companies.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and phone skills.
- Self-motivated and driven to plan and execute lead generation plans.
Good to have:
- Should be able to build good working relationships across all levels.
- Should be Able to work as part of a team.
- Mentoring and coaching skills preferred.
- Adept in working on CRMs.
