Tea Industry Export Manager - Key Responsibilities

1. Sales Strategy Development

- Analyse international customer trends and design sales plans to meet their needs.

- Plan, develop, and implement various sales activities based on research of customer requirements.

Market Expansion:

- Identify new business opportunities and potential customers in different countries.

- Explore opportunities to enter and grow in diverse international markets.

Operational Efficiency:

- Ensure sales and marketing activities are conducted within agreed budgets, volumes, and timeframes.

- Develop solutions to overcome obstacles that may slow down or hinder export procedures.

Client & Distributor Relations:

- Manage orders, deliveries, and payments with international and domestic clients.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, shipping companies, and customs officials.

- Negotiate contracts with clients and suppliers for maximum profitability.

- Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, agents, and distributors to sustain international sales growth.

Cultural & Market Knowledge:

- Develop a deep understanding of the cultural, business, and political environments in target countries.

- Gain insights into consumer tastes and preferences for effective product positioning.

Performance Monitoring:

- Continuously review distributor performance and provide relevant insights to management

8. Regulatory Compliance & Documentation & Record-Keeping

- Ensure adherence to international trade laws and regulations.

- Work with customs agents for goods clearance and manage duties and taxes.

- Maintain accurate records of all export transactions and update company databases.

Quality Assurance:

- Maintain high standards for tea products and ensure compliance with certifications required for export.

10. Problem Resolution

- Address disputes such as late shipments, damaged goods, and incorrect paperwork.

- Proactively resolve problems such as delayed shipments or complications in export processes.

Desired Qualifications

1. Core Expertise - Proven track record in Strategic Planning, International Trade Development, Business Unit Development, Logistics, Procurement, and Pricing Strategies.

- Extensive experience with Export-Import Functions.

Brand Development

- Successfully launched Indian brands in international markets.

- Expertise in distributor management and distributor appointments.

Market Expansion:

- Demonstrated capability in entering new geographies and expanding market presence.


Organizational Skills:

- Highly organized and system-driven professional.

- Exceptional ability to manage processes efficiently.

P&L Management:

- Solid experience in managing Profit and Loss (P&L)

Leadership & Problem-Solving:

- Strong decision-making and leadership skills to oversee and optimize sales functions globally.

- Train and guide team members on export processes and compliance regulations.

Qualification:

- MBA / PGD Preferred in ( International business/Sales & Marketing/ Export & Import)

- Any additional course/ certification programme in Export/ Import from renowned institutions
