Role Overview:
The Vice President - Transactions is a pivotal leadership role responsible for spearheading and managing all aspects of transaction management, with a strong focus on leasing, within our organization. This role involves leading a team of transaction professionals, working closely with internal stakeholders such as legal, finance, and operations, and engaging with external clients, brokers, and landlords. The VP - Transactions directly impacts the company's profitability and growth by ensuring efficient and effective deal structuring, negotiation, and execution, ultimately optimizing our real estate portfolio and driving strategic business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of transaction managers, fostering a high-performance culture focused on achieving strategic leasing objectives.
- Develop and implement transaction strategies aligned with the company's overall business goals, ensuring optimal lease terms and conditions.
- Oversee the negotiation and execution of lease agreements, renewals, and amendments, protecting the company's interests and maximizing value.
- Manage relationships with landlords, brokers, and other external partners, ensuring effective communication and collaboration throughout the transaction process.
- Conduct thorough due diligence on potential properties, assessing financial viability, legal compliance, and operational suitability.
- Collaborate with legal counsel to ensure all transactions comply with applicable laws and regulations, mitigating potential risks.
- Monitor market trends and competitive landscape, providing insights and recommendations to inform transaction strategies and decision-making.
- Develop and maintain transaction management processes and procedures, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
- Prepare and present transaction proposals to senior management, providing clear and concise information to support informed decision-making.

- Demonstrated expertise in commercial real estate transactions, specifically leasing, with a proven track record of successful deal negotiation and execution.
