Role Overview The VP - Transaction Monitoring will be responsible for leading and managing the global/regional Transaction Monitoring (TM) program, ensuring effective oversight, execution, and continuous enhancement of AML/CFT controls. Key Responsibilities - Lead the Transaction Monitoring function, overseeing alert review, investigation, escalation, and reporting processes. - Define and implement strategic goals for TM aligned with the organization's AML/CFT framework and regulatory obligations. - Act as SME on TM matters with senior management, regulators, auditors, and external stakeholders. - Manage complex investigations and support the preparation of Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs/STRs). - Collaborate with technology teams to optimize TM systems (e.g., Actimize, Mantas, SAS, or equivalent). - Manage and mentor a team of TM analysts, investigators, and managers across multiple locations. Key Skills & Qualifications - 12+ years of experience in AML, Transaction Monitoring, and Financial Crime Compliance, with at least 5+ years in a leadership role. - Strong understanding of AML/CFT regulations, global regulatory expectations (FATF, FinCEN, FCA, MAS, RBI, etc.), and industry best practices. - Hands-on expertise with TM systems (Actimize, Mantas, SAS, or similar) including tuning and optimization. - Strong investigative and analytical skills with experience in managing complex alerts/cases.
