Role Technical & Derivatives Analyst Grade Vice President Role Purpose: The role is responsible for generating high-quality, actionable trading calls and strategizing across multiple timeframes (intra-day, intra-week, and positional) with a strong focus on strike rates and yield optimization. The role involves developing market commentaries, quantitative recommendations, and technical reports such as monthly stock picks, derivatives strategies, and trade ideas. A strong emphasis is placed on ensuring timely, accurate, and insightful deliverables that align with the organization's standards. Key Responsibilities: - Generate trading calls and derivatives strategies (e.g., bull spreads, bear spreads, straddles, strangles, and expiry-day strategies) designed to optimize yield while maintaining risk-reward benchmarks. - Maintain high strike rates (65%-70%) and deliver consistent returns through actionable trade ideas. - Ensure minimal operational losses through accurate execution and adherence to internal controls and statutory requirements. - Provide timely and actionable market insights through daily market commentaries, sectoral outlooks, and trading strategies. - Disseminate relevant technical and quantitative information effectively to both internal and external clients. - Address queries from clients and stakeholders promptly, ensuring adherence to established turn-around times (TAT). - Attend daily conference calls to present short-term and medium-term views on the Indian equity markets and sectors, reinforcing trust and expertise. - Maintain a track record of consistent, accurate market views to uphold service quality standards throughout the year. - Minimize conflicts of interest between technical and fundamental views through collaboration, mutual study, and healthy debate. - Ensure strict compliance with regulatory, statutory, and internal norms. - Adhere to the company's Code of Conduct and "Dos and Don'ts" guidelines to mitigate operational and reputational risks. - Implement robust risk management practices by balancing yield with an appropriate risk-reward ratio in recommendations. - Collaborate with fundamental analysts to align short-term and long-term market views, resolving conflicts through constructive discussions. - Actively contribute to the team's knowledge base by sharing insights on technical analysis tools, price patterns, and indicators from both Western and Eastern methodologies. - Attend daily morning conference calls to provide relevant, quantitative information and insights, fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making. - Cultivate strong communication and writing skills to ensure the clear and effective presentation of technical recommendations and reports.
