Vice President - Supply Chain Management - Agri

Role Overview

A leading agro-based organization is seeking a senior supply chain professional to head end-to-end Supply Chain Management functions. The role will be responsible for driving integrated logistics, supply and demand planning, and procurement strategies to support domestic and international business operations. This position requires strong leadership capability to manage complex, season-driven supply chains and ensure efficiency, cost optimization, and service excellence across the value chain.

Key Responsibilities

Logistics (Approx. 40%)

- Lead domestic and international logistics operations including inbound, outbound, warehousing, distribution, and export logistics.

- Optimize transportation costs, service levels, and network efficiency while ensuring compliance with trade, customs, and regulatory requirements.

- Develop logistics strategies aligned with business growth, manufacturing locations, and seasonal demand fluctuations.

Supply & Demand Planning (Approx. 40%)

- Own end-to-end supply planning and demand planning processes including forecasting, S&OP, inventory optimization, and capacity planning.

- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing, and Finance teams to align demand forecasts with production and distribution plans.

- Improve planning accuracy, reduce inventory risks, and enhance OTIF and customer service performance.

Procurement (Approx. 20%)

- Provide strategic oversight of procurement activities including sourcing, vendor development, contract negotiations, and cost optimization.

- Strengthen supplier relationships to ensure quality, continuity of supply, and risk mitigation.

Experience & Qualification

- Senior leadership experience in Supply Chain Management within agro-based, agri input, or agriculture-focused organizations is mandatory.

- Strong exposure to domestic and international logistics, supply planning, demand planning, and procurement.

- Proven ability to lead large, cross-functional teams and manage complex supply chain operations.

- Graduate degree is required; MBA in Operations / Supply Chain Management is preferred.
