About the Opportunity

Our client is a well-established, high-growth consumer-focused organization with a strong market presence and an ambitious growth agenda. As part of its ongoing transformation journey, the company is looking to hire a seasoned finance leader to partner closely with its Supply Chain function.

This is a newly created, high-visibility role that sits within the Finance Leadership Team and reports directly to the Head of Finance. The position offers an opportunity to influence strategic decision-making across procurement, manufacturing, inventory management, logistics, and supply chain investments.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Business Partnering

- Act as the primary finance partner for the Supply Chain and Procurement teams.

- Provide commercial insights and financial guidance to support key operational decisions.

- Embed financial discipline across planning, procurement, inventory, and logistics processes.

- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to drive operational excellence.

2. Cost Management & Value Creation

- Lead end-to-end supply chain cost analysis across raw materials, manufacturing, warehousing, logistics, and distribution.

- Identify and drive cost optimization initiatives through data-driven analysis.

- Develop cost benchmarks and monitor performance against budgets and forecasts.

- Proactively highlight risks and opportunities impacting profitability.

3. Capital Allocation & Investment Evaluation

- Evaluate strategic investments relating to supply chain infrastructure, automation, technology, and capacity expansion.

- Build detailed business cases, ROI models, and financial scenarios for leadership review.

- Track post-implementation performance and ensure expected value realization.

4. Supply Chain Strategy & Planning

- Partner with business leaders on long-term supply chain strategy and network optimization.

- Support make-versus-buy decisions, vendor rationalization, and working capital initiatives.

- Play an active role in annual planning, budgeting, and forecasting cycles.

5. Reporting, Controls & Governance

- Design and enhance MIS dashboards and KPI reporting frameworks for supply chain finance.

- Strengthen internal controls and ensure adherence to governance and compliance standards.

- Present periodic financial insights and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.

6. Team Leadership

- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team supporting supply chain operations.

- Build a culture of analytical rigor, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Ideal Candidate Profile

- Chartered Accountant (CA) or MBA (Finance) from a premier business school.

- 10-18 years of progressive experience across Supply Chain Finance, Cost Controlling, FP&A, or Business Finance.

- Strong experience partnering with Procurement, Manufacturing, Operations, or Supply Chain teams.

- Demonstrated success in influencing business decisions through financial insights.

- Prior experience managing and developing teams.

- Location: Mumbai (Prabhadevi)

- Work Schedule: Monday to Friday (5-day work week)
