- Support creation and periodically modification of bank's medium to long-term strategy ensuring seamless translation of strategic objectives into actionable business plans and measurable outcomes across all business verticals.
- To identify, plan, and support execute strategic initiatives that drive sustainable assets growth, profitability, risk alignment, productivity across channels etc. in alignment with organizational vision and regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with business to ensure envisioned outcomes of the identified initiatives are achieved within desired timelines.
- Work with leadership team to address the market dynamics, emerging trends and evolving customer needs.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators to measure the success of strategic initiatives
- Focus on growth, diversification and achieving scale as the bank transitions from SFB to Universal Bank (if approved by the regulator).
IV. KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE:
Business/ Financials:
- Support the annual strategic planning exercise across businesses and quarterly strategy reviews
- Lead strategic planning for all asset classes (loans, advances, securitizations).
- Design competitive pricing strategies for various assets products while maintaining profitability margins
- Oversee the conduct of in-depth market research and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities and potential threats.
- Analyze industry trends, best practices and competitive landscape to guide strategic thinking and decisions.
- Provide trusted advice and insight to the executive team on emerging market trends and policy developments, including how they could impact or be exploited.
- Drive GTM plans for new asset products and portfolio expansions.
- Formulate digital transformation and technology adoption strategies
- Monitor key financial metrics (yield, NIM, ROA) and recommend corrective actions.
Customer (Both Internal & External):
- Foster relationships with key stakeholders, including management and team members
- Study customer segments and work with businesses to identify new products and services or recommend changes to current offerings
- Present asset performance insights to the departmental heads and Executive Committees.
- Design customer acquisition and retention strategies
- Create customer experience enhancement initiatives
- Formulate pricing strategies for asset products
- Identify partnership opportunities with fintech companies
Internal Process:
- Management presentations on strategic initiatives and market developments
- Collaborate extensively internally to ensure the Banks strategy is effectively structured and embedded so that teams and colleagues know how they contribute to the Banks overall objectives.
- Establish governance frameworks for strategic initiatives, ensuring that all new initiatives are monitored for success and aligned with the banks strategic priorities.
- Collaborate effectively with Finance team to ensure robust monitoring and reporting of the Banks progress against its objectives.
- Develop performance management frameworks to monitor strategic initiatives across business verticals, ensuring timely and effective execution.
- Provide feedback on required analysis to advance solution development and to support execution of strategic initiatives, digital growth and data-based decisions in day to day working of the bank
- Analyze risks and complex issues to provide strategic guidance & efficient solutions.
- Ensure timely submission of all regulatory reports with zero non-compliance instances
Innovation & Learning:
- Lead organizational transformation and change management initiatives
- Promote a culture of innovation and data orientation across the bank by encouraging teams to develop creative solutions for business challenges.
- Responsible for product research and driving innovations as a part of the product strategy in ensuring the company is ready to capture emerging and future consumer demands.
- Providing and guiding team members to foster professional growth whilst promoting culture of accountability.
