Role Requirement:

Strategic Sourcing & Procurement:

- Develop and implement the company's strategic sourcing roadmap aligned with business growth plans.

- Establish category management strategies for direct and indirect procurement.

- Develop long-term sourcing strategies for critical commodities and technologies.

- Lead strategic negotiations for pricing, commercial terms, contracts, and supply agreements.

- Drive global sourcing initiatives to optimize cost, quality, technology access, and supply resilience.

- Build a diversified supplier ecosystem to reduce dependency on single-source suppliers.

- Develop sourcing strategies supporting localization and import substitution.

Supply Chain Management (SCM):

- Develop an integrated supply chain strategy supporting manufacturing, R&D, and customer delivery.

- Optimize inventory while ensuring high material availability.

- Improve supplier responsiveness and manufacturing flexibility.

- Drive Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) alignment with procurement, PPC and PMO.

- Strengthen demand planning and material planning processes.

- Improve supply chain visibility using digital tools and analytics.

- Establish risk management frameworks for critical supply chains.

Purchase Operations:

- Lead procurement planning and execution for production and non-production materials.

- Ensure timely procurement of critical components.

- Standardize procurement policies and governance.

- Monitor procurement KPIs including supplier performance, delivery adherence, quality, and cost.

- Improve procurement cycle time through automation and process optimization.

Global Logistics (Export & Import):

- Develop efficient logistics strategies for domestic and international operations.

Manage:

1. Import logistics

2. Export logistics

3. Customs clearance

4. Freight optimization

5. Warehousing

6. Distribution

- Optimize shipping costs while maintaining delivery commitments.

- Ensure compliance with DGFT, Customs, GST, Foreign Trade Policy, FEMA, and applicable export control regulations.

- Develop relationships with logistics partners, freight forwarders, and customs brokers.

Key Skills:

- 25+ years of experience in SCM / Purchase in Automobile / auto component company.

- EV manufacturer will be an added advantage. Strong working knowledge of SAP HANA (implementation experience of SAP HANA will be an added advantage).

- Should have handled material resource planning, procurement, ancillary / vendor development, product costing, export/import logistics.

- Should have driven sustainability in supply chain (Green SCM).

- High process orientation, ability to learn and adapt to organizational cultures, should have worked in at least 3 organizations, should have managed a large, multi-layered team.
